On the evening of April 28th, at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi , the "Echoes of the Fatherland" program, the opening event of the "Proud to be Vietnamese" series of artistic and political programs in 2026, took place in a magnificent and impressive manner, attracting nearly 40,000 live spectators and millions more watching on television and digital platforms.

The "Echoes of the Homeland" program was magnificent and impressive.
The art program "Echoes of the Fatherland" was organized under the direction of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; and jointly implemented by Vietnam Television, the Hanoi People's Committee, and Netmedia Company.
This is a significant highlight, blending into the sacred and proud atmosphere leading up to the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day, the 72nd anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, and the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth.

The performances were elaborately and spectacularly prepared.
The program takes viewers through two artistic parts. Part I lasts 90 minutes, broadcast live on VTV1 and consists of three chapters.
Chapter 1, "The Epic on the Bronze Drum," conveys a message about enduring origins, lasting identity, and the strength of Vietnam stemming from its community and culture.

The program attracted nearly 40,000 live audience members and millions more watching on television and digital platforms.
Chapter 2, "Echoes of History," conveys the message of national unity forging willpower, and cultural essence crystallizing strength, enabling Vietnam to rise in the new era.
Chapter 3, "The Aspiration of Vietnam," expresses faith in the glorious Party, the great President Ho Chi Minh, and the revolutionary cause in the new era of national development; it highlights the aspiration for development and the responsibility of each Vietnamese person, especially the younger generation, to continue the legacy.

The 40,000 attendees at the event powerfully spread a spirit of national pride.
In particular, the live performance "Peaceful Homeland," featuring 1,000 artists and officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security and People's Army, created a special highlight in the program.
Combining performances and parades, "Peace for the Fatherland" evokes memories of the joyous celebrations of the A50 and A80 milestones in 2025, while further affirming a steadfast, proactive, and resilient Vietnam – ready to protect the peace of its people and firmly safeguard the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.

Part II, "Explosion of Sound - Illuminating the Sky," features vibrant artistic performances that extend national pride, transforming patriotism into positive energy and inspiring every young person to dedicate themselves and contribute to a prosperous Vietnam.
With a new approach, using the bronze drum as a recurring image, combining live performances with symphonic music, light music, rock, and modern stage and projection techniques, the program recreates the revolutionary historical traditions and cultural beauty of the nation. The dazzling fireworks displays in the Hanoi sky further enhance the audience's experience.

The program featured many spectacular and elaborately staged artistic performances, including: "Echoes of the Homeland," "The Origin," "The Rhythm of Lac Viet Life," "Phu Dong Thien Vuong," "The Shining Prosperity of Vietnam," "Every Step Increases Love for the Homeland," "The Path We Take," "My Homeland Has Never Been So Beautiful," "The Homeland in the Sunlight," and "Vietnam - Proudly Continuing Towards the Future"...
The program featured performances by 1,000 officers and soldiers of the People's Armed Forces; more than 2,000 artists and actors, including many prominent figures such as People's Artist Duong Minh Duc, People's Artist Ha Thuy, Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung, Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi; singers Tung Duong, Viet Danh, Duong Hoang Yen, Lam Bao Ngoc, Anh Tu, the band Buc Tuong, the band Ngu Cung…

Over 2,000 artists, actors, and children were present at the event.
The large-scale fireworks display, combined with modern performance technology, created an emotionally rich artistic atmosphere. The total performance included 900 high-altitude fireworks, 60 low-altitude fireworks displays, and 60 pyrotechnic displays, all harmoniously integrated with music and stage lighting to create an impressive visual spectacle.
