45 days to approve ecotourism project

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong, within 45 days of receiving the dossier, the relevant departments and branches will complete the appraisal and submit to the Provincial People's Committee for approval the eco-tourism, resort and entertainment project on the forest area of ​​organizations and individuals in the area.

The lease period of forest environment for business, ecotourism services, resorts and entertainment shall not exceed 30 years.

The selected organization or individual who signs the contract for leasing the forest environment shall prepare a feasibility study report for the ecotourism, resort, and entertainment project, ensuring compliance with the national forestry planning or provincial planning approved by the competent state agency. The forest owner shall prepare a technical dossier to select the organization or individual leasing the forest environment that meets the criteria on capacity and experience in ecotourism, resort, and entertainment activities; suitable business organization plan; professional conditions on sustainable forest management; expected revenue; asset handling after the contract expires; commitment to the project exploitation time, revenue generation, etc.

The lease term for forest environment for business, ecotourism, resort and entertainment services shall not exceed 30 years. In particular, every 5 years, the contract performance shall be evaluated. If the lessee performs the contract correctly and has a need to extend the contract, the forest owner shall consider extending the lease term by no more than 2/3 of the initial lease term.

The price for renting forest environment in the registration file of organizations and individuals is calculated as a percentage of total revenue, converted to absolute value for forest owners to evaluate, and clearly stated in the forest environment rental contract.
