Pep Guardiola's departure is triggering a major purge behind the scenes at Manchester City.
Immediately after the Spanish manager parted ways with the club, the Etihad Stadium team confirmed that five more members of the coaching staff had also left the team.
This list includes Kolo Toure, Pep Lijnders, Lorenzo Buenaventura, Manuel Estiarte and Xabier Mancisidor.
Kolo Toure is the most notable name. The former center-back, who won the Premier League with Arsenal and Man City, was only brought into Guardiola's first-team coaching staff last summer.
Meanwhile, Pep Lijnders, Jurgen Klopp's former trusted assistant at Liverpool, also left Etihad after just one season.
In addition, goalkeeping coach Xabier Mancisidor, fitness expert Lorenzo Buenaventura, and Manuel Estiarte, who was in charge of player support and considered Guardiola's closest associate, all said goodbye.
In an official statement, Man City thanked all five members for their contributions during the club's successful period.
According to British media, Enzo Maresca has signed a three-year contract to replace Guardiola as manager of Manchester City. The Italian coach was previously Pep's assistant before moving to Chelsea as head coach and is expected to bring his own staff to Etihad.
Guardiola concluded a decade-long journey with 20 major and minor titles with Man City. His departure created touching images during the end-of-season parade, as thousands of fans took to the streets to pay tribute to the most successful manager in the club's history.
The simultaneous departure of numerous trusted associates from Etihad Stadium signals that a true era has come to an end at Manchester City.
