On the afternoon of May 4, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City announced preliminary data on the number of tourists coming to visit during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, showing that Da Nang has attracted tourists impressively.

Specifically, from April 30 to May 4, Da Nang welcomed about 610,000 visitors, an increase of more than 50% over the same period in 2024. Of these, the number of overnight guests is estimated at 230,395 (international overnight guests accounted for about 1/3, an increase of 44%).

Total revenue from tourism activities during the 5-day holiday in Da Nang is estimated at VND 2,426 billion, an increase of more than 50% over the same period in 2024.

Room occupancy at accommodation areas reached 85%. Especially on April 30 and May 2, most facilities reached 100% occupancy (including central areas with high tourist concentrations or areas far from the center such as Nguyen Tat Thanh beach route, Lien Chieu area, Hoa Bac area, Hoa Ninh area...).

According to information from Da Nang International Airport, during the 5 holidays, Da Nang Airport welcomed 654 flights, an increase of 12% compared to normal days.

Some tourist areas and spots welcomed a large number of visitors during the 5-day holiday, such as Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area, Ngu Hanh Son scenic relic, Nui Than Tai hot spring park, Danang Downtown, Mikazuki Water Park 365, Danang Museum, Son Tra peninsula, Hai Van Quan...

In Quang Nam, according to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong - Director of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam, in the past 5 holidays, tourist attractions in Quang Nam welcomed 282,000 visitors, an increase of 21% over the same period in 2024.

Of these, international visitors are estimated at 143,000, up 9% over the same period in 2024. Domestic visitors are estimated at 139,000, up 40% over the same period in 2024.

The occupancy rate of 3-5 star hotels in Quang Nam during the holiday reached over 90%, while that of 1-2 star hotels reached around 60-65%. The highest number of domestic tourists visited and stayed during the first two days of May.

Nghe An welcomes over 1.17 million visitors

On the afternoon of May 4, information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year, the whole province is estimated to welcome and serve about 1,170,000 tourists, an increase of 23% over the same period in 2024.

Of which, the number of guests staying reached about 370,000, total tourism revenue was estimated at more than 1,989 billion VND, revenue from tourism services was estimated at 746 billion VND.

Many prominent tourist destinations attract a large number of visitors during the holiday, including: Kim Lien Special National Relic Site (Nam Dan), Cua Lo Beach, Vinwonder Cua Hoi, Quynh Beach, Dien Thanh Beach, Truong Bon National Historical Relic Site (Do Luong), Ong Hoang Muoi Temple (Hung Nguyen)...

In addition, ecotourism, green tourism, and community tourism continue to leave their mark with destinations such as Muong Thanh Dien Lam Ecological Area (Dien Chau), Sang Le forest (Tuong Duong), Khe Kem waterfall and community tourism villages in Con Cuong district, Muong Long Eco Garden and community villages in Ky Son district...

During the holiday, the work of ensuring security, order and safety for tourists was carried out seriously and effectively by the functional forces, without any unfortunate incidents affecting the tourists' experience, contributing significantly to building the image of a safe, hospitable and attractive Nghe An in the eyes of tourists.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the reason why tourism during the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year in Nghe An achieved high results is because the holiday lasted 5 days, the hot weather attracted visitors to the beaches; the transport infrastructure system such as the North-South expressway facilitated people to travel to tourist destinations.
