688 students from the Mekong Delta compete in the Natural Science Olympiad

688 candidates are students from 41 high schools in the Mekong Delta provinces competing at the 4th TVU Natural Science Olympiad in 2025.

On April 6, Tra Vinh University (TVU) organized the 4th TVU Natural Science Olympiad in 2025 with the participation of 688 contestants who are students from 41 high schools in Tra Vinh, Vinh Long, Ben Tre, Dong Thap, Soc Trang and Hau Giang provinces.

Each team has 4 contestants participating in 3 subjects: Mathematics (separate theory exam), Chemistry, Biology (theory and practice exam).

In her opening speech, Dr. Thach Thi Dan, Vice Principal of TVU and Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest, said that this is an annual activity of TVU to create an academic playground, exchange learning, and share professional knowledge and experience between students and teachers of high schools in and outside the province with TVU lecturers in the field of natural sciences .

"This year's competition has been carefully prepared in terms of expertise, well-organized and received positive responses from many high schools. That shows that this academic playground is gradually affirming its position in the hearts of teachers, students and parents throughout the region. Through the competition, students have the opportunity to exchange, learn, receive career orientation and have the opportunity to access the university environment, which is of practical value to their future career choices," Dr. Thach Thi Dan emphasized.

The Organizing Committee awarded 5 first prizes, 5 second prizes, 5 third prizes and 136 consolation prizes to candidates with achievements in the subjects.
