Provincial Road 2 is a provincially managed road with a length of 24.42 km, starting at the intersection with National Highway 1 in Dien Lac commune, ending at Khanh Vinh commune. This route was completed and put into use in 1999. This is an important route connecting the communes of Dien Lac, Dien Tho and Khanh Vinh. Currently, the traffic volume and load of vehicles on this route are increasing, affecting the repair and maintenance work on the route. In recent years, to protect the structure of the project, maintain good operation of the route, and ensure traffic safety, the province has invested in repairing many sections on Provincial Road 2. However, at Km0+500 - Km1+725 and Km19+604 - Km20+958, the road surface has been damaged, many sections have cracks, potholes, and subsidence, causing traffic insecurity.
