On July 14, in Gia Lai province, Quy Nhon University signed a memorandum of understanding with GEO Group (Federal Republic of Germany) and O-DOOR Vietnam Co., Ltd. to build and operate a training center and develop human resources for renewable energy.
Leaders of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee witnessed the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between Quy Nhon University, GEO Group and O-DOOR Vietnam Co., Ltd.
The objective of the agreement is to establish a cooperation framework between Quy Nhon University, GEO Group and O-DOOR Vietnam Company to jointly build and operate a training center and develop renewable energy human resources in Gia Lai province.
The centre will provide internationally-standardised training programmes in wind power, solar energy and green hydrogen, contributing to the development of a highly skilled workforce and supporting Vietnam’s national commitment to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

According to the signed content, Quy Nhon University is responsible for recruiting and selecting students, nominating candidates to participate in lecturer training programs, coordinating training assessment sessions, supporting GEO in implementing and recognizing the certification process. At the same time, it will coordinate research and technology transfer to serve the national clean energy development strategy.
GEO Group is responsible for developing and transferring training programs according to international standards, providing technical training equipment and implementing technical support, including maintenance services throughout the agreed operating period. Meanwhile, O-DOOR Vietnam Co., Ltd. is responsible for building facilities, installing equipment, operating the training center, ensuring quality...

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Homan Seyedin - Marketing and Sales Director of Asia of GEO Group and Ms. Mai Thi Ngoc Thuy - General Director of O-DOOR Vietnam Co., Ltd. thanked Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for their attention and direction, creating favorable conditions for investors during the project implementation process. At the same time, they committed to coordinate with Quy Nhon University to effectively implement project-related activities in the coming time.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that the renewable energy training and human resource development center project is identified as a key project of the province. Currently, the province is urgently carrying out the bidding process to select an investor to implement the project, expected to be completed in August.
In order for the signed contents to be effectively implemented, Mr. Tuan requested Quy Nhon University to quickly, promptly and substantially implement the contents of the memorandum of understanding, with the spirit of "only discussing, not retreating". We must work with a strong desire to master technology, promptly access and grasp the transferred modern technologies, and be determined to become the leading training address in the country and the region in the field of renewable energy.

On the business side, the Chairman of Gia Lai province requested GEO Group and O-DOOR Vietnam Company to seriously implement the signed commitments, especially focusing on speeding up the project implementation progress.
“The locality is committed to accompanying and supporting the project so that it can be implemented soon and operate effectively. The goal is to build Gia Lai into a center for training, transferring and developing highly qualified human resources in the field of renewable energy and green hydrogen technology, meeting international standards,” Mr. Pham Anh Tuan affirmed.
The project is located in Phu My Dong commune. On June 18, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province (old), signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chairman of GEO Group and General Director of O-DOOR Vietnam Co., Ltd., on cooperation in investing in building a training center and developing human resources for renewable energy. Accordingly, GEO Group - the leading unit in Germany in renewable energy solutions will cooperate in a joint venture with O-DOOR Vietnam Co., Ltd. to establish a legal entity in Vietnam to invest in building a training center and developing renewable energy human resources on an area of 20 hectares in Phu My Dong commune, Gia Lai province, with a total expected investment capital of 50 million USD. |
