In 9 months, the country's GDP increased by 7.85%

Speaking at a press conference announcing socio-economic statistics for the third quarter and the first nine months of 2025 on the morning of October 6 in Hanoi, Director of the General Statistics Office, Ministry of Finance, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong said that in the third quarter of 2025, the gross domestic product (GDP) is estimated to increase by 8.23% over the same period last year, just lower than the 14.38% increase of the same period in 2022 in the period 2011-2025.

GDP in the first 9 months is estimated to increase by 7.85% over the same period last year, only lower than the growth rate of 9.44% in the same period in 2022 in the 2011-2025 period; of which, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 3.83%, contributing 5.36% to the total added value of the whole economy ; the industry and construction sector increased by 8.69%, contributing 43.05%; the service sector increased by 8.49%, contributing 51.59%.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, in the context of the world situation continuing to develop in a complex and unpredictable manner, strategic competition between major countries is increasingly fierce... but with close monitoring of fluctuations in the world and domestic economic situation, ministries, branches and localities are making efforts to carry out tasks and solutions to achieve the set goals,

“Our country's socio-economic performance in the third quarter and the first nine months of 2025 achieved very positive results, with each month being better than the previous month and each quarter being better than the previous quarter in the context of many uncertainties in the world and regional economy,” Director Nguyen Thi Huong emphasized.
