At the Ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Ta Hai Tung, Principal of the School of Information and Communication Technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest, announced the Decisions of the Minister of Public Security on the establishment of the Steering Committee, Organizing Committee, Jury Board, and Advisory Board to organize the Data for life Contest season 3 in 2025 with the theme "Hack for Growth 2025".
Authorized by the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, launching and directing the competition, Major General Vu Van Tan, Director of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order, emphasized that season 3 of the competition is an opportunity for the Steering Committee of Resolution 57 to have a more multi-dimensional view, affirming the meaning of data and the role of young people. Major General Vu Van Tan also affirmed: "The most special thing is to affirm the value of data, not data kept in the warehouse, not just for sharing, but data must contribute to the development of the data economy and create value for society".
According to Major General Vu Van Tan, the pride of the contest is when the products are evaluated and selected by businesses and State agencies to be put into use and applied in life. That is the most valuable and sustainable reward. As a unit directly assisting the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, accompanying Vietnam Television, Hanoi University of Science and Technology and other organizing units, Major General Vu Van Tan believes that this year's contest will bring a new wind, new breath and new vitality to the youth, worthy of the aspiration to serve the Fatherland from creative ideas and products.

Over the past 2 seasons, the international technology solution competition Data for Life has proven its popularity, uniqueness and appeal, pioneering in technology, data and a more special element when expanding its international scope. The participation of foreign teams from Australia and Singapore, many entries from international teams and the world's leading technology experts have shown the prestige and professional quality of the program.
Following the success of the previous two seasons, this year's competition has expanded in scale, improved in quality and flexibly adapted to the digital transformation orientation according to Resolution 57 of the Politburo. With a focus on "breakthrough" (hack) and "growth", "Hack for Growth 2025" is in line with the development trend of digital government, digital economy and digital society in the transition period of the nation. The content and organization method have been improved and changed, both inheriting the achievements from Data for Life and expanding the participation of units, businesses and individuals, creating favorable conditions for all subjects to contribute ideas and participate in building innovative and breakthrough solutions.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year's competition will go through 4 rounds (application, conquest, exhibition and final), in which the application round starts from October 10. The total expected prize is 690 million VND, including 1 first prize worth 500 million VND, 1 second prize of 100 million VND, 1 third prize of 50 million VND and other secondary prizes with a total value of 40 million VND. In particular, the Organizing Committee will provide a list of experts to support the teams in developing and perfecting their products when participating in the competition.
