Ajinomoto Group – Member of the Global Nutrition Alliance

Since 2022, Ajinomoto Group has been an official member of the Workforce Nutrition Alliance, with the desire to continuously promote the improvement of physical and mental health for all employees of the Group globally.

The Group's vision of maintaining and improving the physical and mental health of its employees through nutrition is the foundation for realizing the Group's vision and moving towards sustainable development. This is also part of its commitment to contributing to extending healthy life expectancy for 1 billion people by 2030.

As a member of the Ajinomoto Group of Japan, Ajinomoto Vietnam Company determines that people are the core foundation to realize the Company's Purpose of Existence: "Contributing to bringing health and happiness to the people and society of Vietnam through providing quality products and valuable initiatives with the foundation of "Amino Science " ("AminoScience")".

Therefore, over the years, the Company has continuously implemented many practical activities to take care of the health and improve nutrition for employees, revolving around 4 main areas: Nutrition education, periodic health check-ups, improving meals at the workplace and supporting pregnant female employees and those raising young children.

Nutrition education – improving from physical to mental

Since 2019, Ajinomoto has implemented a long-term nutrition education program towards 2030. Each employee has access to knowledge about nutrition, the role of amino acids, disease prevention and personal health care, with an average of 140 minutes of training per year.

At the same time, employees' mental health is also of great concern, through activities such as inviting experts to share about preventing some common mental health problems such as behavioral disorders related to sleep, eating, postpartum period; at the same time providing Tools to support emotional care, mental health for employees through Nutrition and health care software exclusively for Company employees (referred to as Software).

At the same time, the Company encourages employees to participate in physical activities through on-site exercises, consulting on appropriate activities through the Nutrition and Health Care Software exclusively for Company employees (referred to as the "Software"), and competitive movements such as the "Strong Physical - Strong Mental" competition.

Ajinomoto Vietnam employees receive free periodic health check-ups from reputable hospitals, receive results and direct consultation from medical experts, performed during working hours, with full salary, in compliance with legal regulations - demonstrating the Company's commitment to protecting and improving the health of employees.

Healthy meals encourage increased consumption of green vegetables

With the desire to improve nutrition for workers, the "Healthy Meals" activity has been implemented at Ajinomoto Vietnam's factories and offices. Company employees are served diverse meals, including vegetarian menus, vermicelli/pho, fruit desserts and a free raw vegetable counter.

The company also organizes monthly fruit buffets to increase the recommended amount of fruit. Nutritional information about the daily menu is also shared via screens in the cafeteria, allowing employees to track the nutritional value of each dish, know the benefits of increasing the consumption of vegetables and fruits, the benefits of reducing salt intake... thereby enhancing the experience of active and healthy eating.

Create favorable conditions for female workers who are pregnant or have young children

Ajinomoto Vietnam focuses on creating a friendly working environment for female employees, especially during pregnancy and childcare. The company fully complies with legal regulations, ensuring benefits such as 6-month maternity leave, 60-minute reduction in working hours per day for mothers with children under 12 months, and no night work or long-distance travel from the 7th month of pregnancy.

The company also arranges a fully equipped resting and milking area at the factory and office, and organizes nutrition training for mothers and babies, instructs on how to use software to create a balanced nutritional menu for mothers and children, and updates knowledge on child-rearing according to WHO recommendations.
