Vietnam shines at Asian architecture and tourism awards

The Asian Architecture Awards and Asian Travel Awards 2025 awards ceremony officially took place in Korea.

For the first time, two prestigious awards in the fields of architecture and tourism were held simultaneously in the capital city of Seoul, opening up a space for the intersection of design and experience where architectural stories and high-class services shine together on a common stage.

With the theme “Vibrant Asia”, the event brought together more than 200 architects, designers , hoteliers, restaurateurs and industry experts from 10 Asian countries. In particular, the event also had the presence of representatives from the Embassies of Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines in Korea.

Opening the awards ceremony, Mr. Tan Quee Peng - General Director of RSP Vietnam, Head of the Jury of Asia Awards Organization, and Head of the Jury of the Asian Architecture Awards affirmed the organization's long-term mission in honoring contributions that shape the way Asia is built, experienced and remembered.

“Architecture and services are intimately linked. They shape cultural experiences, create memories and express regional identities. Both require vision and both have a certain impact. Together, architecture and services make a very practical contribution to the cultural and economic development of Asia,” he said.

On a continental scale, the award ceremony honored 63 outstanding architectural works and 38 outstanding individuals and units in the hotel industry.

This year’s winners demonstrate a human-centric approach, cultural connection and a willingness to experiment with new ideas. Projects such as Missions Etrangeres De Paris (MEP) (Thailand) and Savanna Villas (Indonesia) are notable for their vision of future living, while the Seoul Robot AI Museum (South Korea) represents technological advancement and innovation in modern urban living.

Vietnam has a number of outstanding projects such as The RIVUS AND The CENTRIC of Masterise Group, Dong Dong furniture collection of Landco Corporation, Dhawa Hanoi & The Lakeside Complex of Pacific Thang Long (Vietnam), The Luxury House of Cat Moc Group... These projects demonstrate diversity, creativity and unique cultural identity, reflecting the harmonious combination of heritage, sustainability and innovation, contributing to enhancing the position of Vietnamese architecture and interior design on the map of Asia.

The inaugural Asia Hotel Awards 2025 celebrated 33 outstanding individuals and projects that are shaping how Asia is perceived and remembered through the modern traveler experience.

The inaugural winners showcase the diversity of cultures and creativity in Asia’s hospitality sector, and the ability to combine local identity with international standards. Vietnam has also made its mark with outstanding projects and individuals, from luxury resorts, local restaurants, to luxury cruise experiences.

Closing this year's season, AAO officially announced that Vietnam will be the next destination of the honor journey, with Ngoc Rong Cave (Quang Ninh) chosen as the venue for the 2026 season.
