Previously, at 9:00 a.m. on October 5, An Xuyen Ward Police ( Ca Mau Province) conducted a routine drug test on Quach Long Dinh (born in 1993, residing in An Xuyen Ward, Ca Mau Province, currently undergoing drug rehabilitation), but the subject resisted, using scissors to put to his neck to prevent the authorities from performing their duties. Afterwards, Dinh restrained a nearby resident, locked the door, and barricaded himself in the house, continuing to scream and resist.
Upon receiving the news, Colonel Chau Quoc Huy, Deputy Director and Head of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency, immediately went directly to the scene, directed the professional units to deploy a plan to suppress, arrest the subject and successfully rescue the victim. During the course of duty, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Thanh Den, officer of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department and Lieutenant Colonel Phan Nhut Truong, officer of the Provincial Police Criminal Police Department were injured. Currently, the health of the two comrades is stable and they are being treated at the Provincial Police Hospital.
