Vietnam Business Association in Japan accompanies domestic enterprises

According to a VNA reporter in Japan, on October 6, in Tokyo, the Vietnam Business Association in Japan (VJBA) held a conference to launch the Executive Board for the 2025-2028 term.

This is considered an important milestone for Vietnamese enterprises in Japan to continue to develop, accompanying the domestic business community into a new era.

The conference was honored to welcome Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu, Commercial Counselor Ta Duc Minh, Head of Labor Management Board Phan Tien Hoang, First Secretary of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan Huynh Thuy Hanh, along with 9 members of the Executive Committee for the 2025 - 2028 term and representatives of enterprises under VJBA.

Established on September 2, 2013, VJBA has been growing steadily in all aspects and its number of members and scale of operations have been constantly increasing. Currently, the association has 41 members, conducting many practical activities and effectively undertaking its tasks and missions, being considered a reliable support for Vietnamese enterprises and businessmen doing business in Japan, and at the same time an important bridge between enterprises of the two countries.

Reviewing the Association's activities in the previous term, Standing Vice President Dinh Anh Minh said that in the 2023 - 2025 term, the Association has expanded its network by recruiting 12 new members. In addition, the Association also promotes trade between the two countries and promotes bilateral cooperation as well as supports the business community. In addition, the Association also actively participates in community activities. The Association has donated more than 2 million yen to support Japanese and Vietnamese people affected by the earthquake on the Noto Peninsula, donated more than 300 million VND to support localities in Central Vietnam affected by Typhoon Yagi and accompanied community cultural activities in Japan.

Based on the results achieved in the past term, VJBA clearly identified the direction of activities in the coming term, including developing programs connecting Vietnamese and Japanese businesses, promoting digital transformation and improving competitiveness for member businesses, expanding strategic cooperation with functional agencies of Japan and Vietnam, strengthening support activities for the Vietnamese community in Japan and growing the number of members to 100 in 2026 through communication, connection and practical support activities.

Speaking at the conference, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu highly appreciated the role, position and results of VJBA's activities in the past time and hoped that the association would continue to develop further in the coming time, both in terms of number of members, scale and quality of activities. The Ambassador pledged to continue to accompany the Vietnamese business community and entrepreneurs in Japan, creating all favorable conditions for common development in the future.

Representing the Executive Committee for the 2025 - 2028 term, VJBA President Tong Thi Kim Giao - Director of Motiti Group - pledged to make every effort to continuously bring the association forward with new successes, contributing to the development of the Vietnamese community in Japan and the good relationship between the two countries.
