On the evening of October 4, at the Sakai city hall in Japan, the General Association of Vietnamese people in Kansai region coordinated with the Vietnamese Association in Sakai to organize a meaningful "Mid-Autumn Festival Night" program.
The event not only brought children a joyful and warm Mid-Autumn Festival, but also spread the spirit of solidarity, educating patriotism, and looking towards the homeland through fundraising activities to support compatriots affected by storm No. 10 (international name: Bualoi) in Vietnam.
About 200 children and their parents attended many special activities such as lion dance, lantern procession, performing arts, folk games and enjoying moon cakes.
The bustling, cozy atmosphere helped children born and raised in Japan have the opportunity to experience the beauty of traditional culture of the nation, while also fostering their attachment to their roots.
Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee launched a call for donations to support people in the country who were heavily affected by storm Bualoi. The call received a positive response from the community, demonstrating the spirit of "mutual love and support", which is a precious tradition of the Vietnamese people.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Ngo Thanh Minh - representative of the Organizing Committee - emphasized: "Mid-Autumn Festival is not only an occasion for children to have fun and preserve customs and practices, but also an opportunity for the Vietnamese community in Japan to unite, turn to their homeland together, and share difficulties with their compatriots."

Ngo Thanh Tam, 13 years old, expressed her love for her homeland Vietnam and her excitement at celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival in Sakai.
The "Mid-Autumn Festival" program at Sakai ended in a warm atmosphere and left many good impressions.
With profound humanitarian meaning, the event not only brings complete joy to children but also contributes to educating patriotism and arousing the spirit of mutual assistance in the Vietnamese community in Japan./.
