• Positioning the Ca Mau tourism brand within the overall national tourism landscape.

  • Unlocking potential, elevating tourism.

Reporters from Ca Mau Newspaper and Radio & Television had an interview with Ms. Pham Thi Khanh, Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association and President of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association, about this event.

- Looking at the success of the series of activities in response to World Tourism Day, how would you assess the determination and efforts of Ca Mau tourism?

Ms. Pham Thi Khanh: First of all, it must be acknowledged that most Vietnamese people have a fondness for and a desire to visit the southernmost tip of the country . In recent years, the leaders of Ca Mau province have paid attention to and strategically oriented tourism development, creating a strong impetus for Ca Mau tourism to take off.

Mr. Vu The Binh, President of the Vietnam Tourism Association, and Ms. Pham Thi Khanh, Vice President of the Association, observed the "Culinary Culture of Ca Mau" Talented Chef Competition.

As a near-central tourism hub of the country, Ho Chi Minh City always works closely with other localities. Ca Mau has enormous tourism potential, so when the province organized a series of activities to celebrate World Tourism Day, the Vietnam Tourism Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association quickly joined in, despite the very short preparation time. We coordinated with the Ca Mau Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to implement the following: providing information, developing programs, sending Famtrip delegations to survey destinations, mobilizing businesses to participate in workshops, promoting local cuisine, and selecting professional chefs to participate in the "Talented Chef" competition.

In less than two weeks, many activities were completed. This demonstrates the determination and decisive action of the leaders of Ca Mau province, and affirms the commitment and partnership of the Vietnam Tourism Association, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, and the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association in promoting the development of tourism in Ca Mau.
