"Apathy towards the Party and detachment from politics" stems from many causes, primarily a pragmatic lifestyle, the pursuit of personal gain, and an inability to control greed, leading to a decline in character and morality. President Ho Chi Minh once reminded: "A person has four virtues: diligence, frugality, integrity, and righteousness... Lacking even one virtue, one cannot be considered a complete person." When character and morality are lost, wrongdoing easily arises. For high-ranking officials and Party members, when they are disciplined, they lose everything, easily leading to feelings of discouragement and apathy towards the Party and detachment from politics.
The second reason is dissatisfaction stemming from unmet personal interests, especially among those with limited abilities but ambitious for power and position. When their goals are not achieved, instead of acknowledging and overcoming their limitations, they become rebellious or cause disunity.
Factionalism is also a cause of "apathy towards the Party and detachment from politics." When their supporters or interest groups are punished, some people become dissatisfied, defend wrongdoings, and speak ill of the organization, thereby forming distorted perceptions of the Party and the regime.

Furthermore, political and ideological education in some areas remains limited; the monitoring of ideological developments, detection and handling of violations are not timely, reducing the effectiveness of preventing the phenomenon of "apathy towards the Party and detachment from politics".
Most importantly, the subjective causes stem from each cadre and Party member: a lack of study, training, and moral cultivation; a reluctance to embrace innovation; and laziness in improving their professional and theoretical knowledge. When they fail to keep up with the demands of development, they easily develop feelings of inferiority, dissatisfaction, and alienation from their ideals.
Prevention and remediation solutions
To prevent and combat the phenomenon of "apathy towards the Party and detachment from politics," the most important solution is to strengthen political and ideological education for cadres and Party members regularly, diversely, and effectively; taking Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought as the foundation. Party committees and governments at all levels should proactively monitor ideological developments, especially any deviations among cadres and Party members, in order to provide timely guidance and correction.
Furthermore, every cadre and Party member needs to constantly cultivate revolutionary ethics, enhance political acumen, uphold ideals, maintain a sense of responsibility, and be dedicated to serving the Fatherland and the people.
Party organizations should build a healthy and democratic cultural environment, creating conditions for cadres and party members to express their thoughts and aspirations. At the same time, they should enhance vigilance, proactively identify and combat the subversive plots and tactics of hostile forces.
Another important solution is to build a clean and strong Party to enhance its leadership capacity, fighting strength, and the exemplary role of its cadres and members. This includes strictly implementing the Party's resolutions, directives, and regulations on Party building and rectification; promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style; and improving the effectiveness of preventing and combating degradation, "self-evolution," and "self-transformation."

Furthermore, it is necessary to improve regulations and rules; strengthen inspection, supervision, and strictly handle violations and acts of ideological, political, moral, and lifestyle degradation. Timely detection and commendation of exemplary individuals , along with warnings and deterrence against deviant behaviors, will contribute to preventing the risk of "Party apathy and detachment from politics," maintaining the unity, integrity, and strength of the Party.
