According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Luan, the provincial leaders are always concerned about and place high expectations on the future generation of their homeland. The province's goal is to build a safe and healthy living environment so that all children can develop comprehensively in terms of physical, intellectual, and spiritual aspects.

The Vice Chairman of Ca Mau emphasized that, in the context of strong digital transformation, children not only need to study well but also become wise digital citizens. They need to use the internet effectively to learn, acquire knowledge, spread positive values, and avoid dependence on video games or unhealthy content online.

"Protecting children in the digital age is no longer simply about keeping them away from the online environment, but more importantly, about equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to protect themselves," said Mr. Nguyen Minh Luan.

The Vice Chairman of Ca Mau province suggested that the education sector strengthen digital citizenship skills education; guide students to identify true and false information, protect personal data, and behave respectfully in the online environment. At the same time, parents need to accompany, listen to, and become reliable guides for their children.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, said that the protection, care, and education of children have always been a top priority for Party committees, government agencies, and the entire society. Over the years, the province has implemented many practical programs and activities to support disadvantaged children, children affected by epidemics, orphans, vulnerable children, and families facing difficulties. Many models supporting poor students, programs to sponsor orphans, and social welfare activities have yielded positive results and created widespread impact in the community.

The Chairman of Ca Mau province expressed his delight at the opinions, thoughts, and aspirations that the children had frankly shared with the provincial leaders. Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi stated that this is an important basis for all sectors and levels to continue improving policies and solutions to create better conditions for children to study, play, and develop comprehensively.

Recalling President Ho Chi Minh's teaching: "Whether the Vietnamese nation will become beautiful and prosperous, and whether the Vietnamese people will reach the pinnacle of glory to stand shoulder to shoulder with the great powers of the five continents, depends largely on the learning efforts of the children," Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi hoped that the children would continue to strive in their studies, cultivate their morals, and equip themselves with knowledge and skills to become useful citizens for society.

Besides acknowledging the achievements, Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi also pointed out some issues that need continued attention, such as violence and abuse against children; accidents and injuries, especially drowning in rural areas and riverside regions; and limited resources and conditions for supporting children at the grassroots level.

In the context of digital transformation, children have many opportunities to access knowledge but also face numerous risks in the online environment. Therefore, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province requested that all levels and sectors continue to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws on children; enhance the responsibility of leaders; and strengthen coordination between families, schools, and society in the care and education of children.

At the same time, it is necessary to focus on directing and implementing specific solutions from the grassroots level to promptly address emerging issues, ensuring that all children live in a safe, healthy environment and have the conditions for comprehensive development.

In addition to dialogue sessions, the program also organizes many social and recreational activities, creating opportunities for children to connect with friends, improve their life skills, build self-confidence, and develop their abilities.

On this occasion, the leaders of Ca Mau province awarded 72 scholarships to students with excellent academic achievements.

Through the 2026 Action Month for Children, Ca Mau province continues to affirm its determination to effectively implement social welfare policies, ensuring that all children receive attention, care, protection, and equal opportunities for development. This contributes to the effective implementation of the 2016 Law on Children and international commitments on children's rights, aiming to build an increasingly better living environment for the province's young generation.
