On the morning of June 2nd, Comrade Nguyen Ho Hai, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and Head of the Steering Committee for the Prevention and Combat of Corruption, Waste, and Negative Phenomena in Ca Mau Province, chaired the regular May 2026 meeting of the Steering Committee.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Huynh Quoc Viet, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Lu Quang Ngoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and other members of the Steering Committee.
Comrade Nguyen Ho Hai, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the Prevention and Combat of Corruption, Waste, and Negative Phenomena (center), along with other comrades, presided over the regular meeting in May 2026.
At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing and giving opinions on many key issues such as: the results of implementing the conclusions of the Head of the Steering Committee regarding projects that are behind schedule and at risk of loss and waste ; the progress in handling surplus land and buildings after organizational restructuring; the progress in handling cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee; the management and leasing of land at the Bac Lieu Prince's House; and also reviewed the 2026 work program and some matters within their authority.
Comrade Lam Van Bi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, reported on the results of implementing the conclusions of the Steering Committee regarding projects and works that are behind schedule and at risk of loss and waste in the province.
Concluding the meeting, the Steering Committee requested continued strengthening of inspection and supervision work, and improved coordination among functional agencies in preventing and combating corruption , waste, and negative practices.
For projects that are behind schedule, have long-standing backlogs, and pose a risk of loss and waste, relevant units are required to urgently review and propose solutions to resolve the issues definitively, clearly identify the collective and individual responsibilities for any violations, and ensure the efficient use of public investment resources and state assets.
