Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi surveyed digital medical kiosks - a solution to effectively reduce the burden on current medical facilities.
Specifically, digital medical kiosks support people in proactively scheduling appointments, obtaining numbers automatically, receiving advice, and being guided to examination departments at healthcare facilities. They can also integrate with expanded medical devices to allow people to self-check their health on-site (measuring blood pressure, heart rate, SpO2, height, and weight).
The deployment of "Digital Citizen Stations" is expected to promote comprehensive digital transformation, enhance the experience, enable citizens to access services 24/7, reduce the workload for civil servants at One-Stop Service Centers and healthcare facilities, and increase the rate of online applications.
The "Digital Citizen Station" system is expected to be piloted at two locations for citizens to experience and provide feedback.
The province plans to pilot the "Digital Citizen Service Station" model at two locations: the Provincial Public Administrative Service Center and the Bac Lieu Ward Public Administrative Service Center.
Based on the actual operational results and public feedback, departments and agencies will advise the Provincial People's Committee on a plan to replicate the model throughout the province, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and suitability to the specific characteristics of each locality, serving the people well.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai directed that a comprehensive assessment report and pilot plan for the "Digital Citizen Station" model must be submitted no later than the end of June 2026.
Following a field survey, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai highly appreciated the feasibility of the model in optimizing administrative processes and enhancing the digital experience for citizens.
Technology only truly proves its value when it aligns with real-world needs. The Public Administrative Service Center must create conditions for citizens to "actually use and provide genuine feedback," thereby accurately measuring satisfaction levels and identifying the most essential services to prioritize for implementation.
The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial People's Committee Office and the Provincial Police Department to coordinate closely and urgently complete the preparatory steps so that a comprehensive assessment report and detailed pilot plan must be available no later than the end of June 2026.
