Warm and heartwarming Military Cultural Festival

Numerous delegates participated in the Military-Civilian Cultural Festival in Toan Thang commune (Gia Loc).

On December 5th, Toan Thang commune (Gia Loc district) organized the Military-Civilian Cultural Festival. This unit served as the model for the festival in Gia Loc district.

Toan Thang commune currently has 4 villages with 2,300 households and 7,650 inhabitants. Throughout the resistance wars, the commune has 179 martyrs, 109 wounded soldiers, and 24 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

In 1998, Toan Thang commune was honored to receive the title of "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" from the State.

Representatives from the Provincial Military Command presented gifts to families who rendered meritorious services to the revolution and families entitled to preferential policies in Toan Thang commune.

Over nearly 40 years of implementing reforms, Toan Thang commune has made significant breakthroughs in socio- economic development, security, and national defense. In 2022, the commune was recognized as achieving advanced new rural standards and is currently completing the application for assessment as a model new rural commune.

The political and security situation in the commune remains stable. Every year, the commune consistently meets its recruitment targets. In the economic field, the commune leads in planning concentrated conversion zones and developing high-quality vegetable crops. The commune People's Committee has invested in the construction of many public works, resulting in a well-maintained and clean infrastructure.

Leaders of the Gia Loc District People's Committee presented gifts to families with meritorious contributions to the revolution and policy beneficiary families in Toan Thang commune.

At the event, the People's Committee of Toan Thang commune awarded commendations to 3 collectives and 10 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the "Traditional Day of Protecting the Fatherland" movement in 2024.

A cultural performance was presented during the festival.

On this occasion, the Provincial Military Command, the District Party Committee, the People's Committee of Gia Loc District, the Gia Loc District Military Command, and Viettel Gia Loc District presented 30 gifts to families with meritorious services to the revolution and policy beneficiary families in the commune.

The Military-Civilian Cultural Festival is an activity commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024). It is also an opportunity to foster close ties between the armed forces and the people in the commune.
