Many delegates participated in the Military-Civilian Cultural Festival in Toan Thang Commune (Gia Loc)

On December 5, Toan Thang commune (Gia Loc) organized the Military-Civilian Cultural Festival. This is the unit that serves as the festival point of Gia Loc district.

Toan Thang commune currently has 4 villages with 2,300 households and 7,650 people. Through the resistance wars, the commune has 179 martyrs, 109 wounded soldiers, and 24 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

In 1998, Toan Thang commune was honored to receive the title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" from the State.

Representatives of the Provincial Military Command presented gifts to families with revolutionary contributions and policy families in Toan Thang commune.

After nearly 40 years of implementing the renovation process, Toan Thang commune has made strong breakthroughs in the fields of socio -economy, security and national defense. In 2022, the commune was recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards and is completing the application for appraisal of a model new rural commune.

The political security situation in the commune is always stable. Every year, in the military recruitment work, the commune always completes the target. In the economic field, the commune is a pioneer in planning concentrated conversion areas, developing vegetables in the direction of improving quality. Leaders of Gia Loc District People's Committee presented gifts to families with revolutionary contributions and policy families in Toan Thang commune.

At the festival, the People's Committee of Toan Thang commune awarded 3 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement "Traditional Day of Fatherland Protection" in 2024.

A performance was performed at the festival.

On this occasion, the Provincial Military Command, District Party Committee, Gia Loc District People's Committee, Gia Loc District Military Command, and Viettel Gia Loc District presented 30 gifts to families with revolutionary contributions and policy families in the commune.

The Military-Civilian Cultural Festival is an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024). This is also an opportunity to foster the affection between the armed forces and the people in the commune.
