At the Con Son-Kiep Bac Autumn Festival 2025, the typical and unique OCOP products of 28 businesses, cooperatives, and production facilities displayed and sold at the festival were highly appreciated by visitors.

On the very first day of the opening of the Culture, Tourism and Trade Promotion Week at the Con Son - Kiet Bac Autumn Festival 2025 (October 4th), the typical and unique OCOP products of 28 enterprises, cooperatives, and production facilities displayed and sold at the festival were highly appreciated by visitors, including many 5-star and 4-star OCOP products.

Impressive taste of the sea

When visiting the Hai Phong OCOP booth, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh from Lao Cai province, who was attending the festival, said she was very impressed with some products that had the flavor of the sea, such as braised sardines from Sovi Co., Ltd., red crab rice crackers from Khanh Tho Production, Trade and Service Co., Ltd., or the sausage products from households producing right in Tran Hung Dao ward - where the festival took place...

According to Nguyen Van Hoan, Deputy Head of the Hai Phong Rural Development Sub-Department, during this year's Con Son - Kiet Bac Autumn Festival, the Sub-Department is inviting businesses and cooperatives to prepare products to participate in the festival. The Sub-Department has assigned staff to be present at the festival from early on to help businesses and cooperatives stabilize their organization, arrange booths to serve visitors, and guide them on how to display products and booths beautifully and impressively for tourists. The greatest desire of businesses, cooperatives, and OCOP product manufacturers is for visitors to not only know about the festival but also about the unique OCOP products of the coastal city.

What's noteworthy about this year's festival is that many businesses and cooperatives not only introduced and sold their products but also showcased and guided customers towards the unique stories behind their OCOP (One Commune One Product) products. Pham Tien Du, Director of Kim Thanh Clean Agriculture Cooperative, said that his company has a 3-star OCOP product: crab paste. Since crab paste is a traditional folk product, to impress customers, the cooperative also brought traditional tools such as stone mortars, pestles, and wicker baskets to display alongside the product, hoping to attract and enhance its appeal to customers.

Improve product quality

With the goal of promoting the image and reputation of Hai Phong's OCOP products, Hai Phong businesses and cooperatives are wholeheartedly bringing high-quality, unique products that reflect the city's distinctive character to the Con Son - Kiet Bac Autumn Festival. To achieve such products, businesses and cooperatives constantly innovate and invest in production lines and facilities that are suitable and adaptable to market demands. Ms. Bui Thi Khanh, Director of Khanh Tho Production, Trade and Service Co., Ltd., shared that previously, the company only had the traditional product, instant dried rice crackers with perch, a 4-star OCOP product that attracted customer interest and achieved high sales. Since the merger of Hai Duong province with Hai Phong city, the company has added instant red crab rice crackers to its product line. To produce this additional product, the company had to innovate and install additional production lines.

Some businesses also attract customers by sharing unique stories about their OCOP products.

Bringing four 4-star OCOP products, including dried bananas, to the festival, Ms. Ngo Thi Thu Hong, General Director of Ameii Vietnam JSC, said that many customers really like the flavors of chocolate-coated or green tea-flavored dried bananas. This motivates the company to constantly research and bring unique and distinctive products to the market. Customers will notice that the products are made from fresh bananas sourced from specialized banana-growing regions in Hai Phong. Using modern technology, the bananas are dried and processed into new flavors such as strawberry, tiramisu, and chocolate coatings. The products not only meet the tastes of domestic consumers but can also be exported.
