Accordingly, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City requested businesses to pay attention to paying salaries and bonuses to employees during the New Year and Lunar New Year 2024 to stabilize the labor situation, employment, and labor relations.
The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City guides enterprises to coordinate and discuss with organizations representing employees at the grassroots level and base on labor contracts, collective labor agreements, salary regulations, and bonus regulations to implement salary and bonus regimes for employees.
According to many businesses, despite economic difficulties, they will still ensure that employees receive a Tet bonus (Illustration: Pham Nguyen).
Enterprises with plans for Tet bonuses are required to submit reports to the Department before December 22. The labor management agency also noted that employers should notify employees of this issue early, at least 20 days before the Tet holiday.
The contents that must be notified to employees before the Tet holiday are: salary, bonus, allowances, support for employees during the Lunar New Year (giving Tet gifts, supporting train and bus tickets for employees to return home for Tet...), Tet holiday time, annual leave and time for salary and bonus payment.
In case the enterprise implements Lunar New Year holidays in combination with annual leave, it must discuss and agree with employees and make it public within the enterprise before implementation.
According to Mr. Nguyen Bao Cuong, Head of the Department of Labor - Wages - Social Insurance of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City, this time, the Department sent documents to more than 3,000 large enterprises in the city to collect salary and bonus plans for Tet.
