The working group is headed by Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung. The 3 Deputy Heads include: Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 389 as Permanent Deputy Heads; along with Colonel Lam Phuoc Nguyen, Director of the Provincial Police Department and Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Minh Hung.
The working group is responsible for directing, urging, inspecting and supervising the implementation of the work to meet the requirements and effectiveness of the competent authorities. It is requested that provincial and local agencies and relevant functional forces provide information on the situation and results of the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the area and management field, along with documents on violations, evaluate the implementation of the Prime Minister 's Official Dispatch 65/CD-TTg and Directive 13/CT-TTg; propose to competent authorities directions and solutions to solve important, inter-sectoral and local issues to improve the effectiveness of the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods.
Organize rewards or propose rewards for collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the peak period of the fight to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights. Direct the inspection and propose handling of organizations and individuals lacking a sense of responsibility, being negative, lax in management, assisting in smuggling, trade fraud, production and trade of counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights.
On the same day, the Provincial People's Committee also issued a plan to implement a peak period of fighting to prevent and repel crimes of smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in An Giang province (from May 15, 2025 to June 15, 2025).
