On March 26.3, in Hanoi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met and had a dialogue with young people on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
According to the Government Office, when asked a question, Nguyen Thanh Trung, a student at the University of Pedagogy High School for the Gifted, raised the issue of data protection and network security as still a major challenge that Vietnam faces. According to statistics, it is estimated that up to 35% of Vietnamese internet users are at risk of facing cyber security risks, the 6th highest in the world.
In the coming time, what solutions will the Government have on this issue to ensure cyberspace safety?
Responding to this content, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications (TTTT) Nguyen Huy Dung said that cybersecurity is considered the brake of the digital transformation vehicle, not stopping this vehicle but letting us Travel faster and safer with peace of mind.
However, according to Deputy Minister Nguyen Huy Dung, there is a lot to do, the solutions the Prime Minister has clearly pointed out in the national cybersecurity strategy.
There are 2 outstanding points, the first is the 3 key forces to ensure network security: the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Ministry of Information and Communications. Second, the three target groups of cybersecurity protection are key information systems of Party and State agencies; information systems of businesses and citizens.
Commenting further on the thinking and methodology to solve this problem, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that everything has two sides, positive and limited, and progress can come with obstacles. .
"In life and thinking, I hope young people always maintain balance in any situation, whether winning or losing, not being arrogant in victory, not discouraged in defeat," the Prime Minister expressed.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that we must always put people and things in movement and development; We must consider it normal that when we have this advantage, it will come with other difficulties. The most important thing is to be confident to handle the problems effectively, in life as well as work.
More specifically about the young man's question, the Prime Minister said: First, the Government must perfect institutions to ensure network security;
The second is to assign ministries and branches to handle problems if there are incidents, like yesterday there was an incident related to securities.
Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Duy Ngoc directly directs the implementation of Project 06 (Project to develop application of population data, identification and electronic authentication for national digital transformation in the period 2022-2025 , vision to 2030), including a section related to cybersecurity;
Third, it is necessary to improve the capacity to handle network security issues through many different measures;
Fourth is to promote propaganda for the people to increase vigilance and take preventive measures, in which young people must be the core and take the lead on this issue.
“I once shared that if the youth movement wants to "survive", it must combine individual interests with collective interests and the interests of the country. Why did the old "Three Ready" movement have such vitality? Because this movement brings benefits of peace and unity to each individual and the whole country," the Prime Minister expressed.
The Prime Minister has asked the Central Youth Union to focus on implementing three youth movements: Information technology learning movement; foreign language learning movement (to become both a Vietnamese citizen and a global citizen); movement to preserve environmental hygiene.
These three movements are both attached to the interests of each person and to the interests of the whole nation. Of course, we put the common interests first and foremost, and within the common interests, there are individual interests.
