An Phu Interchange will start construction at the end of 2022 with a total investment of more than 3,400 billion VND. The project includes a two-way underpass connecting Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway. With Mai Chi Tho Street extended through Dong Van Cong (towards Thu Thiem Tunnel). There is a Y-shaped bridge above connecting the expressway approach road with Mai Chi Tho and Luong Dinh Cua streets; a C-shaped overpass for vehicles to turn right from the expressway approach road through Mai Chi Tho. The Mai Chi Tho - Dong Van Cong intersection also has two overpasses built to connect these roads together.
