The program attracted thousands of people, tourists, teenagers and children to participate; was broadcast live and online on the platforms of Thai Nguyen Newspaper, Radio and Television, connecting to many points across the country.
This year's "Full Moon Festival - Lanterns light up dreams" program was held simultaneously at three locations: Vo Nguyen Giap Square, Phan Dinh Phung Ward; Van Xuan Square and Bac Kan Cultural House Square.
In the bustling atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival, colorful lanterns, the sound of lion-lion-dragon drums combined with the cheers and laughter of children create a warm Mid-Autumn Festival picture, imbued with national identity, strongly spreading the spirit of sharing and accompanying children after the two localities merged.

Speaking at the Gala Night, on behalf of the Party, State and National Assembly leaders, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh sent wishes for a joyful and happy Mid-Autumn Festival to all children nationwide; at the same time, praised the spirit of learning, training and meaningful contributions of children nationwide in the past year.
Through the program, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly sent his condolences and sympathies to the people in the areas affected by storm No. 10 and its circulation. He affirmed that the Party Central Committee, the Government, sectors and levels are focusing on directing the rescue work, mobilizing all resources to support people in the storm and flood areas, not letting students lack schools, classes, books and school supplies, and trying to ensure that children in the disaster areas can still celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in joy and peace.

Within the framework of the Program, the Organizing Committee awarded 100 bicycles and gifts with a total value of 2.7 million VND/gift to 100 students in difficult circumstances in Thai Nguyen province.

Also at the Program, thousands of gifts and scholarships were handed over by leaders to students with high achievements in study and training.
This year's "Lanterns lighting up dreams" program is especially aimed at 248 communes in border areas, demonstrating the sharing and spirit of "all for beloved children" of the youth of the whole country.
The movement, launched by the Central Youth Union and the Central Council of the Young Pioneers since 2021, has become a traditional activity, bringing "Mid-Autumn Festival for Children" to all parts of the country, from the plains, mountainous areas to borders and islands. This year's Mid-Autumn Festival alone, the Central Youth Union and the Central Council of the Young Pioneers have sent 7 million lanterns to children across the country.

In Thai Nguyen, organizations, businesses, unions and thousands of youth union members joined hands to contribute, prepare gifts, lanterns, and stages, creating a brilliant and meaningful festival night.
The program also has a unique and spectacular art performance with the participation of artists and children, creating a vibrant and impressive atmosphere on the largest scale ever.
The most anticipated highlight is the Lantern Parade Competition with the participation of 33 creative Mid-Autumn lantern models, representing 30 communes, wards, schools and businesses in the area. The models are invested in elaborately by the localities, each work contains a story, an old legend or a folk symbol, helping the younger generation understand more about tradition, while at the same time being attached to the local cultural identity.

* At the Cultural House Square (Bac Kan ward), the program "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival - Thai Nguyen sparkling Full Moon Festival Night" entered the second night, including vibrant and attractive art performances and many meaningful activities, especially the introduction of 33 Mid-Autumn lantern models of the northern communes and wards.

After the colorful, sparkling and meaningful lantern processions, the Organizing Committee announced the results and awarded the prizes for the Thai Nguyen Province Mid-Autumn Festival Lantern Procession Competition 2025. Each lantern model is not only beautiful in form and elaborate in making, but also conveys meaningful messages, demonstrating creativity and pride in the culture and history of the homeland.

Results: First prize went to Bac Kan ward; Second prize went to Duc Xuan ward and Cho Don commune; Third prize went to residential group No. 10 (Bac Kan ward), Ngan Son commune, Bang Thanh commune; Bach Thong, Yen Thinh, Nghien Loan, Thuong Quan, Xuan Duong communes won Encouragement prizes.

The Organizing Committee also announced the results and awarded prizes for the online competition of Mid-Autumn lantern models on the Thai Nguyen Provincial Electronic Information Portal Fanpage. Specifically: Bac Kan Ward won the First Prize, Duc Xuan Ward the Second Prize; Residential Group No. 10A (Bac Kan Ward) was awarded the Encouragement Prize.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented gifts to 41 disadvantaged children in the northern communes of the province.
* At Van Xuan Square (Van Xuan Ward) - one of the three connecting points of the Program, attending were comrade Dinh Quang Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of departments, branches and sectors of the province.

The opening was a special song and dance performance recreating the traditional Mid-Autumn atmosphere mixed with a modern breath, creating a bustling, colorful space. Not only bringing joy, the opening also aroused pride, reminding of cultural values preserved through many generations.
In order to encourage and motivate the spirit of learning and show concern for children, the Organizing Committee presented 60 gifts, including 50 bicycles and 10 gifts to students in the southern region of the province.

The highlight of the Festival Night is the parade of Mid-Autumn lantern models. 11 excellent models that won provincial awards gathered together, creating a sparkling, creative picture.
Results: First prize went to Tan Khanh commune, 2 second prizes (Song Cong ward, Van Xuan ward), 3 third prizes (Phu Lac commune, Van Han commune, Dai Tu commune), 5 encouragement prizes (Phuc Thuan ward, Ba Xuyen ward, Phu Binh commune, Diem Thuy commune, Dai Phuc commune), 4 secondary prizes voted by the audience online.
The models not only demonstrate the skillful hands and creativity of groups and individuals, but also reflect the cultural life and spirit of solidarity in the community.
The festival ended but the echoes still lingered on the bright faces of the children, when they held in their hands the gifts and the bright lanterns. For the people in the southern communes and wards of the province, this was not only an opportunity for children to have fun, but also a moment for families and communities to gather and share in the warm Mid-Autumn night.
* Not only in the provincial center, the Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere also spread to many localities. On the evening of October 4, at Chu Huong Kindergarten, the Provincial Red Cross Association coordinated with the People's Committee of Thuong Minh commune and sponsors to organize the program "Mid-Autumn Festival for Children".

The program took place in a joyful and exciting atmosphere with a lion dance and many special performances praising the homeland and country, performed by teachers and students of the schools, attracting a large number of parents and people in the commune to watch and cheer.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented more than 520 gifts including cakes, candies, milk and star lanterns; including 40 cash gifts, worth 500,000 VND each, to students in difficult circumstances, poor students who have overcome difficulties and ethnic minority children in the area.
