This was the affirmation of Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc at the talk show inspiring young people with the theme "Intelligent Generation NOW" on the morning of November 25. This event officially opened the Autumn Economic Forum 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Talkshow is a forum connecting government leaders, international experts and young people, discussing the thinking, skills and responsibilities of the young generation in the era of AI and global knowledge.
The event attracted 500 young people representing students, startups and young businesses, researchers, outstanding officials, and representatives of Vietnamese youth organizations.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City will create the most favorable conditions to awaken and maximize the potential of the young generation.
The city will invest heavily in digital infrastructure: Developing broadband infrastructure, 5G coverage, and building an open data platform so that young people can access and use urban data to develop smart applications and solutions.

Invest in human resources: Partner with universities and research centers to train high-tech experts, AI engineers, and data scientists, ensuring you have the skills to lead the digital economy.
The city also perfects the innovation ecosystem: Providing mechanisms and policies to support breakthrough startups; building innovation spaces (Innovation Hubs), and most importantly, creating an open legal environment that accepts experimentation (sandbox) for new ideas to take flight.
"In the coming time, Ho Chi Minh City will continue to improve policies, expand creative spaces and create the best opportunities for every young person to study, experiment, develop and shine - worthy of the role of the central driving force of a smart, dynamic and deeply integrated city. The goal is for Ho Chi Minh City to be not only an economic center but also an innovation center, a smart and sustainable super city, where ambition, aspiration, creativity and breakthrough are most strongly promoted" - Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc affirmed.

Speaking at the talk show, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son welcomed Ho Chi Minh City to organize the annual conference and started the conference with sessions dedicated to young people, those who are changing the world, especially science and technology, AI.
Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son expressed his impression with the passionate speech and strong commitment of the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
"The speech shows a clear vision and determination of the City in turning Ho Chi Minh City into an innovation center, a smart, sustainable super city, a place to inspire the young generation," said the Deputy Prime Minister.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Government has always identified Ho Chi Minh City as the economic locomotive and the largest innovation center of the country. Ho Chi Minh City's mission is not only to develop itself, but also to test new models and new mechanisms to replicate nationwide.
"Ho Chi Minh City has been given outstanding mechanisms and policies such as Resolution 98/2023 to "unleash" and "empower" creativity, daring to do, and accepting risks for the common development goal. The commitment of the Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City to strongly invest in digital infrastructure and the creative ecosystem is exactly what the Government expects" - Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son said.

From the Government’s perspective, digital infrastructure is not just fiber optic cables or 5G, but the “highway” for Vietnamese intelligence to reach out to the world. The creative ecosystem is not just high-tech zones, but the “fertile soil” where even the smallest ideas have a chance to germinate.
Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son emphasized that the Government is committed to continuing to accompany and remove all institutional barriers, ensuring a transparent and fair legal environment so that Ho Chi Minh City and its young generation can freely create.
