Up to now, Quang Ninh has 641 historical - cultural relics and landscapes ranked, including 8 special national relics, 57 national relics and 102 provincial relics, 474 relics inventoried and classified. The province has completed the comprehensive digitization of 17 tangible cultural heritages, 7 intangible heritages; updated and supplemented the profile information of 2 special national relics, 1 national relic, 8 provincial relics and 28 classified inventory relics. At 370/370 red addresses and historical relics, QR codes are synchronously attached to help people and tourists access information quickly and intuitively, opening up a new approach to promotion work.
At the same time, the Provincial Museum and Provincial Library have promoted the application of information technology, digitized display spaces, relics and artifacts, and enhanced the interaction and experience of viewers.
The work of restoration, embellishment and management of relics continues to be vigorously implemented. 100% of the ranked relics are given attention to preservation and promotion of their values; all special national relics are regularly inspected, restored and prevented from deterioration. The implementation of the Project on preservation, embellishment and promotion of the system of historical - cultural relics and scenic spots in 2024 has created a positive change, bringing heritage management activities into depth, associated with community development and building a cultural environment.

Quang Duc Commune coordinated with Forest Ranger District 6 to survey and select old trees that meet the standards to propose to honor as heritage trees.
In preserving traditional cultural values, the province focuses on protecting ethnic cultural spaces; maintaining, restoring and organizing unique festivals in localities. Many communes, wards and special zones have proactively restored cultural heritages such as the Cap Sac ceremony, Then singing - Tinh lute of the Tay people, Soong Co of the San Chi people; Boat racing festival in Tien Yen; Nang Sang festival in Duong Hoa; Khieng Gio festival, Dai Phan festival in Quang Tan... Among them, many types of performances and rituals are persistently preserved by the community and taught to the younger generation.
Coordination work to propose world cultural heritages has been promoted. Quang Ninh coordinated with Bac Ninh and Hai Phong to complete the dossier of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac relic cluster. Thanks to that, this relic cluster was recognized as a World Cultural Heritage on July 12, 2025, at the 47th session of UNESCO.

The system of heritage trees in the province has 175 recognized trees, demonstrating the harmonious combination between preserving tangible culture and preserving natural values.
At the grassroots level, conservation work is increasingly closely linked to community development and livelihood creation for people. The models of cultural villages - community tourism in Van Don special economic zone, Dao Thanh Y cultural space in Yen Tu, or the Golden Season Festival of Soong Co region in Dong Ngu... are becoming attractive cultural - tourism highlights, attracting visitors, contributing to spreading the traditional beauty of each ethnic group...
It can be affirmed that preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage is becoming an important fulcrum in the sustainable development of Quang Ninh. The tireless efforts from the province to the grassroots have contributed to enriching the local “heritage map”, making culture truly become the spiritual foundation of society and a driving force to promote tourism and local economic development.
