Việt Nam•15/04/2024Hero Phan Đình Giót was born in 1922 in Tam Quang hamlet, Vĩnh Yên village, Cẩm Quan commune, Cẩm Xuyên district, Hà Tĩnh province. After the August Revolution, Phan Đình Giót joined the self-defense forces. In 1950, he volunteered to join the main army. He also participated in several major campaigns such as the Central Highlands, Hòa Bình , Northwest, and the Điện Biên Phủ Campaign.
