Thomas Tuchel's first four matches as England manager brought mixed emotions. He helped the Three Lions maintain a perfect record in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers but also left an unforgettable "scar": a 1-3 defeat to Senegal at City Ground in June.

This is the first time in history that an African team has beaten England, and it's only the second time the Three Lions have lost at home by two or more goals after scoring the opening goal. A real shock for English football.

Previously, despite winning all three of their opening matches in Group K, including a narrow 1-0 victory away against Andorra, the England team was still criticized for their unconvincing performances. They beat Albania and Latvia without conceding a goal, but their style of play lacked explosiveness.

However, looking at the statistics, England still boasts an impressive unbeaten streak in World Cup qualifiers: their last defeat was against Ukraine in 2009, and their last home loss was 25 years ago, against Germany.

Meanwhile, Andorra continues to be the underdog in Europe. After four matches, they have lost all of them against England, Serbia, Albania, and Latvia, failing to score a single goal and sitting at the bottom of the table with 0 points.

Although theoretically they still have a chance to qualify through the play-offs (they are 5 points behind Albania), even the most optimistic Andorra fans find it hard to believe in a miracle. In their last 10 matches across all competitions, they have only won against San Marino and failed to score in the other 9 games.

Andorra had lost all seven of their previous encounters with England, conceding 26 goals without scoring a single. However, the 0-1 defeat in June was the first time they had avoided conceding two or more goals against the Three Lions.
