Defending champions PSG are the first French club to reach three Champions League finals and the first to appear in two consecutive finals. Last season, they became only the second French team to win the tournament, following Marseille's victory in the 1992-1993 season.

PSG have a remarkable record against English teams. Last season, on their way to winning the Champions League, they won five consecutive knockout matches against Premier League teams Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Arsenal in the round of 16, quarter-finals, and semi-finals respectively. This season, Luis Enrique's team has also defeated Chelsea and Liverpool in the round of 16 and quarter-finals. To date, the French champions have only lost one of their last 12 UEFA competition matches against English opponents (9 wins, 2 draws).

With Luis Enrique as manager, the Spanish strategist has reached the Champions League final three times as a coach, after leading Barcelona to victory in 2015 and PSG last season. Only four coaches have won more than two titles in this competition: Carlo Ancelotti leads with five, followed by Bob Paisley, Zinedine Zidane, and Pep Guardiola with three each.

Under Luis Enrique's guidance, PSG have reached the Champions League final twice in a row and have a strong chance of lifting the trophy for the second time.

PSG's case is a rare occurrence in the Champions League era. It's unclear whether PSG can become the second team to successfully defend the Champions League title, as Real Madrid did, but the way they overcame Bayern in the semi-finals shows that Luis Enrique's team has reached its peak. Witnessing PSG's players display two completely different styles of play in the two legs, Bayern's coach Vincent Kompany had to admit that the Bavarians had faced the strongest team in the world at this moment.

This season, no one can say PSG were lucky on their way to the final anymore. Last season, they beat Liverpool on penalties, narrowly defeated Aston Villa, and also struggled to overcome Arsenal to reach the final. This year, their journey has been far more convincing. They beat Liverpool 4-0 and Chelsea 8-2. In the semi-finals, they defeated Bayern Munich with an aggregate score of 6-5.

It will be a tough challenge for Arsenal in the final in Budapest. PSG have already scored 44 goals in the Champions League this season, just one goal short of Barcelona's 2000 record. Their attacking trio of Kvaratskhelia, Dembele, and Desire Doue are in near-perfect form.

Nevertheless, Arsenal still have reason to be confident. Arteta's team is the only club yet to lose in the Champions League this season and boasts one of the most solid defenses in the competition, with 9 clean sheets in 14 matches. The Gunners are also the first team to go unbeaten in 14 matches of a Champions League season.

Arsenal are the only unbeaten team this season (11 wins, 3 draws), and this is their longest unbeaten run in the history of the European Cup/ Champions League.

After ending their 22-year Premier League drought, Arsenal now have the opportunity to complete a historic season with a double of the biggest titles in English and European football.

Historically, PSG and Arsenal have met 7 times in UEFA competitions, with a balanced record of 2 wins each and 3 draws.

The most recent meeting between the two teams was in the Champions League semi-final last season, where PSG won 3-1 on aggregate. The only other knockout match between the two teams was in the semi-final of the Cup Winners' Cup in the 1993-1994 season, where Arsenal won after a 1-1 draw in Paris and a 1-0 victory at home.

The match between PSG and Arsenal will take place at 11 PM on May 30th at the Puskas Arena (Hungary). If PSG represents the strongest attack in Europe currently, then Arsenal is the symbol of organization and defensive discipline. This makes this year's Champions League final a highly anticipated clash between two schools of modern football.
