The collaboration between Anh Thơ and Vũ Thắng Lợi received enthusiastic applause from the audience at their "Homeland" live show on December 22nd in Hanoi . The two singers showed a harmonious blend of voices as they sang about the rivers of their homeland. Anh Thơ's childhood was closely linked to the Mã River, while Vũ Thắng Lợi's memories are immersed in the Lam River of Nghệ An province.

Admiring her sweet voice, Vu Thang Loi invited Anh Tho to participate in his live show as a guest. Anh Tho's emotional yet technically skilled voice made her duet of "The River of My Homeland - The River of Your Homeland" with Vu Thang Loi very harmonious. With the song "Song of the Homeland River," Anh Tho also showcased her sweet voice.

In his musical space, Thang Loi poured much emotion into singing about rivers, evoking strong feelings in the listeners… MC Le Anh introduced the story, saying that perhaps no other music live show has allowed the audience to enjoy so many songs featuring rivers as in Vu Thang Loi's "Homeland" live show.

Vu Thang Loi takes the audience on a musical journey spanning the countryside from the North, through the Central region to his homeland in the South.

From the lead singer to guest singers Anh Thơ, Bùi Lê Mận, and Nguyên Hà, they all sang songs associated with the river flowing from North to South, such as: "Song of the Homeland River", "The River of My Homeland, the River of Your Homeland", "Soul of the River", "Searching for You in the Lam River Folk Song", "Anchoring at the Homeland's Wharf", "You're at the Head of the River, I'm at the End of the River", "Beloved Hue ", "Love for the Red Soil of the Eastern Region", and "Going to the Mountains".

Vu Thang Loi shared that he hopes the rivers, flowing continuously from their source, will also be the cool, clear waters that nourish the souls of every Vietnamese person, nurturing them from childhood to adulthood.

Beyond just the rivers of his homeland, Vu Thang Loi takes the audience on a musical journey across the countryside from the North, through the Central region to the South, with melodies that are deep, gentle, but also sometimes lively and heroic. At times, Vu Thang Loi surprises the audience by singing "Everyone Has a Past" by Phan Manh Quynh. This is a song Thang Loi sang as a "challenge" from director Cao Trung Hieu, with an arrangement by musician Hong Kien.

However, Vu Thang Loi's performance of the song "Barefoot" - composed by Y Phon Kso - left the strongest impression on the audience. Vu Thang Loi said that he sang this song for the first time on December 22nd, with the desire to express his gratitude to his father - a soldier who instilled in him a love for his homeland and a passion for his military career.

In the latter part of the live show, Vu Thang Loi – the soldier-singer – transported the audience into a heroic revolutionary musical atmosphere, receiving enthusiastic applause. Thang Loi's performance was sweet, heartfelt, and intimate in "Mother's Love," and then spirited and defiant in "We Sing on the Truong Son Mountains."

An intriguing mystery in Vu Thang Loi's "Homeland" live show is singer Nguyen Ha. This is also the voice that made both the production team and the audience a little apprehensive, because mentioning singers like Anh Tho or Bui Le Man would be understandable due to their harmony with Thang Loi's musical path, but Nguyen Ha is different.

Vu Thang Loi - Nguyen Ha

Nguyen Ha expressed her gratitude to the male singer for inviting her from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, giving her the confidence to sing revolutionary songs. This connection, guidance, and encouragement motivated her to learn more about this genre. During the tribute concert for artist-soldier Vu Thang Loi, Nguyen Ha also sent her best wishes to her mother – a female soldier – as well as best wishes for happiness to all the soldiers of Uncle Ho.
