Responding to ESPN Brazil , the 25-year-old star shared: "I have only worked with Amorim for a very short time, but he is a good coach, very smart. MU is going through a difficult period, but I believe he will get the team through it."
After Amorim took over, Antony was often benched before being pushed to Real Betis. However, Antony insisted that he "had no problems or conflicts" with the Portuguese strategist.
Talking about Erik ten Hag, Antony expressed his respect: "Ten Hag is a coach that I owe a lot to. He helped me a lot in the Netherlands and in England, even though things at MU were not as expected. But that was the coach's decision, and I don't blame him at all. I am grateful for all the conversations and support he gave me."
Since joining the "Red Devils" in 2022, Antony has only had 12 goals and 5 assists in 96 matches. On the contrary, he has strongly revived in the Real Betis shirt. In just 3 months since moving to La Liga on loan, the Brazilian player has managed to bag 4 goals and 4 assists in 16 matches.
Antony's impressive performances at Betis have given him hope of staying in Spain longer. However, his current contract does not include a buyout clause, and Betis are only willing to pay 84% of his salary.
