Justin Kluivert, the second son of coach Patrick Kluivert, was forced to close the comments section on his personal Instagram page after receiving many attacks from a group of Indonesian fans.
The incident happened right after Garuda lost 0-1 to Iraq in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on October 12. This result caused the Indonesian team to miss the opportunity to participate in the biggest football festival on the planet.
The anger of some fans went beyond the limit when they turned from criticizing coach Patrick Kluivert to attacking his family. Many opinions said that targeting Justin – who had nothing to do with Indonesia’s defeat – was an offensive and ugly action by a part of the Southeast Asian team’s fans.

Coach Kluivert’s future is also uncertain. According to the contract, the Dutch strategist is attached to the Indonesian team until January 2027, with a 1-year extension clause. However, his poor performance with 3 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses after 8 matches in charge has made his seat shake violently.
As for Justin, the 26-year-old player is playing for Bournemouth in the Premier League. He has scored 1 goal since the beginning of the season in the match against Fulham on October 4.
Once considered Ajax's brightest talent, Justin left the Netherlands in 2018 and has experienced many top European leagues such as Serie A (AS Roma), Bundesliga (RB Leipzig), Ligue 1 (Nice), La Liga (Valencia) before joining Bournemouth.
