In recent years, Vietnam has been heavily affected by natural disasters and climate change. Storms, floods, droughts and landslides occur frequently. In this context, the application of science and technology in weather forecasting is becoming a powerful support tool to help improve the effectiveness of natural disaster forecasting, minimize damage and support timely response.

Introduction: Currently, climate change is becoming more and more unpredictable, so the hydrometeorological sector is actively promoting the application of science and technology in forecasting and warning of natural disasters, and building a national hydrometeorological station network. Promoting the application of science and technology is a key issue contributing to accurately forecasting and warning of storms and tropical depressions, helping to effectively limit the damage caused by storms.
