In Bloomberg ’s Power On, analyst Mark Gurman said there are still a few iOS 26 features in development that weren’t announced at WWDC. These hidden features are still expected to launch in the coming months.
Gurman revealed two more unannounced features: live translation via AirPods, as well as syncing public Wi-Fi connections across a user's entire Apple ecosystem.
The long-awaited integration of live translation into AirPods will likely also appear in the iOS 19 update. Gurman previously said the feature would work by directly translating speech (e.g. from Spanish to English) and playing the translation through the listener's AirPods.
The other feature will make the public Wi-Fi experience much easier by eliminating the step of logging into networks at coffee shops and hotels across the entire Apple device ecosystem. When a user logs in on one device, it will sync across all devices that share the same account.
According to Gurman, both of these features were revealed long before WWDC 2025, but they didn't appear on the day of the keynote. This is because Apple doesn't want to announce features months before they're ready to launch.
iOS 26 is currently in developer beta, with Apple planning to release a public beta in July and a final release this fall. Gurman believes these two features are expected to debut this year in either an iOS 26.1 update in October or an iOS 26.2 update in December.
