Arsenal recently lost to PSG on penalties in the Champions League final. Following the match, manager Mikel Arteta's defensive style of play has drawn considerable criticism.
Arsenal ended a 22-year drought to win the Premier League, but they still missed out on Europe's most prestigious club trophy.

Now, attention is focused on which creative players the London club needs to add to become stronger next season.
According to former football legend Teddy Sheringham, Trent Alexander-Arnold could be the solution. He commented on Boyle Sports:
"Could we see Trent Alexander-Arnold return to the Premier League? Liverpool fans certainly wouldn't want him back at Anfield."
However, Arsenal will create the right environment for him. If Trent plays in a well-organized, structured, and cohesive defensive system, he can unleash his full potential."
Last season, Arsenal's two main options on the right flank were Ben White and Jurrien Timber. However, both were constantly plagued by injuries.
Trent Alexander-Arnold would be an ideal addition, helping Arsenal solve their creative problems on the wing, thanks to his exceptional passing ability.
Since moving to Real Madrid, Alexander-Arnold has not made much of an impact. In the 2025/26 season, the English defender only played 21 matches in La Liga, accumulating over 1,100 minutes of playing time and contributing 4 assists.
