Three people are in critical condition due to alcohol poisoning.

Kien Giang - A group of construction workers held a drinking party after completing a project; three of them foamed at the mouth, turned blue in their hands and feet, suffered respiratory failure, and were hospitalized in critical condition.

On the morning of August 20th, a group of about 10 workers held a drinking session. Later that afternoon, three of them were hospitalized with symptoms of methanol poisoning, also known as industrial alcohol. The health status of the remaining individuals is currently unknown.

Dr. Duong Phuoc Dong, Head of the Intensive Care and Toxicology Department at Kien Giang General Hospital, said that all three patients are in critical condition, requiring mechanical ventilation, in a deep coma, and suffering from hypertension, with a poor prognosis. Treatment efforts are also hampered by a shortage of reagents and equipment at the hospital.

"The family doesn't know exactly how much alcohol they drank, only that they drank a lot," Dr. Dong said.

Late last year, this place also received 14 people suffering from alcohol poisoning at a funeral, three of whom later died.
