On June 2nd, the Bac Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Education and Training jointly organized the closing ceremony and awards presentation for the Bac Ninh Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2026. This was also the first year the contest was implemented in all 99 communes and wards in the province after the administrative unit merger.
Over nearly three months since its launch, the competition received nearly 200,000 entries, including written articles and video clips, from 583 schools at the primary, secondary, and high school levels, as well as vocational schools, colleges, and universities. Many communes and wards organized the launch well, with a large number of participating schools and a strong participation movement, resulting in many entries achieving high scores, notably Tam Son ward and Tan Yen commune.

Notably, many entries were of high quality, meticulously crafted in both form and content, demonstrating excellence in ideas and creativity with profound humanistic messages, creating deep educational significance and a positive impression.
From the competition, many plans, measures, and practical initiatives to promote reading were developed by students, demonstrating high feasibility and persuasiveness in spreading and developing a reading culture for the community, such as applying information technology, drawing illustrations, and combining the use of Braille.

Mr. Khong Duc Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province and Head of the Organizing Committee of the competition, assessed: After 8 years of implementation, the Bac Ninh Province Reading Culture Ambassador Competition has spread strongly and widely to schools in the area and received the attention of parents, students, and teachers. The competition has contributed to encouraging the sharing and spreading of a love for books, forming reading habits and skills for the younger generation, thereby arousing a passion for reading and developing a reading culture in the community.
The competition also identifies outstanding individuals who fulfill the mission of "sowing the seeds" of reading, continuing to ignite the "flame" of passion, inspiring and spreading love for reading culture in schools and throughout society, as shared by a contestant in their essay: "Amidst the modern and hectic pace of life, reading culture needs to be preserved and spread. I believe that each book is a seed sown in the soul, and each reading culture ambassador is a sower of those good things," Mr. Khong Duc Thanh expressed.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 4 team prizes; 7 individual first prizes, 20 second prizes, 25 third prizes, 37 consolation prizes, and 12 special prizes for the best entries sharing character impressions, best literary works, impressive reading culture development plans, and innovative experiences to promote effective reading.
