Construction of the Kinh Duong Vuong Bridge began in early 2018 with a total investment of nearly 2,000 billion VND. The bridge boasts a modern design, harmonizing both its structure and cultural value. The total length of the route is 1,518.03m, including a 1,215.0m bridge; the section towards Tien Du is 222.45m long; and the section towards Thuan Thanh is 80.58m long. The starting point is at Km14+313.25, located in Canh Hung commune (Tien Du district); the end point is at Km15+831.28, located in Dai Dong Thanh commune (Thuan Thanh town).

The bridge is designed for permanent use; its cross-section is 22.5m wide, with 25 spans, constructed of reinforced concrete, incorporating steel arches and a cable-stayed system. This is the highest steel arch bridge in Vietnam, boasting a unique design. After numerous adjustments to the planning, construction methods, and technical design of several project components, it has now been officially completed.

King Kinh Duong Vuong is a legendary figure, a descendant of King Than Nong, who is revered as the progenitor of the Bach Viet people. He is worshipped in a temple in A Lu village, Dai Dong Thanh commune (Thuan Thanh town). The mausoleum and temple of King Kinh Duong Vuong were classified by the Vietnamese feudal dynasties as temples dedicated to emperors, and were worshipped with great reverence throughout the ages.

The Kinh Duong Vuong Bridge plays a crucial role in connecting National Highways 1, 17, 287, 38, and 18, aiming to complete the transportation development plan for the Northern key economic region. It effectively serves the socio-economic development of the Capital region, directly benefiting the provinces of Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, and Bac Giang. It also carries a noble cultural mission, connecting historical sites south of the Duong River such as the Kinh Duong Vuong Mausoleum, Dau Pagoda, But Thap Pagoda, and Luy Lau Ancient Citadel with sites north of the Duong River such as Phat Tich Pagoda, Do Temple, Dinh Bang Communal House, and Tieu Pagoda, promoting the development of cultural and spiritual tourism in the Quan Ho region.
