By 8 PM on April 20th, firefighting forces had completely extinguished the large fire that occurred at the container parking lot in area A3, next to Dien Bien Phu road (in Nhon Binh ward, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province).
According to the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Binh Dinh province, at approximately 6:29 PM, the unit received information about a large fire that occurred at the truck parking lot of Quy Nhon Road Management and Repair Joint Stock Company.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department immediately mobilized nearly 80 officers, soldiers, and staff members, along with firefighting equipment and support vehicles from various units, to help extinguish the fire.
When the fire broke out, massive flames engulfed the large trucks with goods in their cargo beds. At times, the flames flared up, accompanied by thick smoke that rose hundreds of meters into the air.
By 6:50 PM, the fire was largely under control, and firefighters continued to surround and extinguish any remaining embers to prevent a resurgence. By 7:13 PM, the fire was completely extinguished.
Thanks to the quick extinguishing of the fire, the remaining 20 container trucks were protected and not completely destroyed.
The fire caused no casualties, but it destroyed four tractor-trailer trucks owned by Mr. PPK (born in 1982, from Binh Dinh province).
Reportedly, Binh Dinh province has been experiencing widespread heatwaves recently. Temperatures remain high throughout the day, the weather is dry and arid, and the risk of wildfires is very high.
Plot A3, used by Quy Nhon Road Management and Repair Joint Stock Company as a parking lot and service area, covers approximately 2 hectares. Previously, in 2019, the company leveled the ground and constructed a parking and goods transshipment service area.
