On May 22nd, Gia Binh commune held a lottery for 484 resettlement land plots, allocating land with land use fees for the second phase to over 192 households in Thu Phap village whose land was subject to expropriation for the Gia Binh International Airport project. This time, the organization of the lottery was innovative, with the organizing committee using two separate ballot boxes for residents to draw lots for resettlement land and land with land use fees.

The lottery process was conducted according to proper procedures, ensuring transparency and close supervision by the government, organizations, village officials, and residents.
The innovative use of two separate ballot boxes received high approval from the people because it shortened the waiting time for households to draw lots. In the first phase, the organizing committee used one ballot box for both types of land. When people drew lots for land plots of the type allocated with land use fees and won a plot larger than 100m² , they had to draw again (according to regulations, corner plots larger than 100m² are only for resettlement land).

Through two rounds of the lottery, 272 households in the village have been allocated 606 resettlement and land plots with land use fees.
