According to the report, the competition nights of DIFF 2024 have been successful, receiving positive reviews from audiences, tourists and news agencies. Currently, the units are continuing to actively deploy tasks to serve the final and closing nights of DIFF 2024.
Currently, the final night art program has been completed; preparation work is being actively deployed and the program's general rehearsal will be held on the evening of July 12, 2024.
The fireworks for the final night have been transported to the shooting range. The work of ensuring the safety of the fireworks transportation has been carefully prepared by the relevant units and according to the set plan. The City Military Command has coordinated with relevant units to deploy security forces at the shooting range; actively participated in providing technical support for connecting fireworks; coordinated the delivery of fireworks and ensured material for the participating teams during the nights to ensure absolute safety.
The work of ensuring security and order, traffic safety, reception, ticket control, environmental sanitation, food safety, healthcare , communications, electricity supply, market management, control, price stabilization of services, parking fees, etc. has been specifically planned to meet the needs of the audience in the final night.
During the final night, relevant units continued to establish interdisciplinary inspection teams to regularly monitor and strictly control the market situation and service prices, especially accommodation, food and beverage, and parking services, especially in Son Tra and Hai Chau districts to ensure the stabilization of commodity prices and the market in accordance with regulations.
As of now, tickets for the final night have been sold out; the expected occupancy rate is 100%. It is forecasted that on the final night of July 13, the number of guests served by accommodation establishments is about 90,000, of which international guests are estimated at about 30,000 and domestic guests are estimated at nearly 60,000. The total room capacity of the city is estimated at about 95%. The number of guests served by cruise ships is expected to reach 100% capacity.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh highly appreciated the efforts of Sun Group and related units in organizing DIFF 2024 in general and the final night in particular.
Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh requested relevant units to continue to closely follow the implementation plan; proactively contact and organize thoughtful reception of guests; agree and assign the City Police to organize a plan to lead the delegation's convoy; the Department of Culture and Sports to promptly plan to organize a summary and reward after the Festival.
