The Executive Committee of the Con Dao Special Zone Party Committee consists of 25 people.

(PLVN) - Immediately after the announcement ceremony of the Resolution to establish the new Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of June 30, in Con Dao, a ceremony was held to announce the Resolution and Decision of the Central and local governments on the arrangement of provincial and commune-level administrative units, ending the operation of district-level administrative units, establishing party organizations, appointing Party committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Ho Chi Minh City, communes, wards, and special zones.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced the Decision to establish the Con Dao Special Zone Party Committee, appointing the Executive Committee of 25 people, the Standing Committee of 9 people, the Inspection Committee of 4 people and appointing the positions of Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; Resolution on appointing the leadership positions of the People's Council and People's Committee of the special zone for the 2021-2026 term; and the Decision of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on establishing the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Con Dao Special Zone, recognizing the Committee members and the Standing Committee.

Ceremony to announce Resolutions and Decisions in Con Dao Special Zone

Key personnel of Con Dao special zone were also announced at the ceremony:

Mr. Le Anh Tu, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of Con Dao District Party Committee, holds the position of Secretary of Con Dao Special Zone Party Committee. Mr. Nguyen Anh Nhut, Deputy Secretary of District Party Committee, holds the position of Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Chairman of Con Dao Special Zone People's Council.

Mr. Phan Trong Hien, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee, holds the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Con Dao Special Zone.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao, Standing Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the District People's Council, holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Con Dao Special Zone People's Council.

Mr. Tran Thanh Huyen, Standing Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Con Dao Special Zone People's Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Member of the Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the District Party Committee's Inspection Committee, holds the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Con Dao Special Zone.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vinh, member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the District Party Committee's Inspection Committee, holds the position of Chairman of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee of the special zone.

Mr. Nguyen Van Manh, District Party Committee member, Chief of District Party Committee Office, holds the position of Vice Chairman of Con Dao Special Zone People's Committee.

The completion of the political and administrative apparatus of the special zone is an important step to effectively operate the first administrative-economic special zone model in Vietnam in the new period. Con Dao is expected to become a center for eco-tourism, culture-heritage and strategic island security, contributing to the sustainable development of the Southeast region of the new Ho Chi Minh City.
