(PLVN) - On July 1, 2025, along with the whole country, Lao Cai province officially put the 2-level local government model (province and commune/ward) into operation, marking a major step in reforming the administrative apparatus.

After a period of careful preparation, from perfecting personnel, apparatus to facilities, on the first day, the new communes and wards operated stably and smoothly. At the one-stop department, the reception and settlement of administrative procedures took place normally, without interruption.

People are received and administrative procedures are handled conveniently and safely.

At Lao Cai ward, the working atmosphere was urgent. From early morning, many people came to do procedures, the staff received the documents enthusiastically and thoughtfully.

Coc San commune was established on the basis of merging Dong Tuyen, Coc San and Tong Sanh communes. After the merger, Coc San commune has an area of ​​57.19 km2; 2,100 households, of which ethnic minorities account for about 72%.

On the very first working day, the commune's one-stop department received dozens of applications for birth registration, issuance of land use right certificates, support for agricultural production, etc.

Also on the first day of operating the two-level government, many localities held the first session of the People's Council for the 2021-2026 term to perfect the leadership apparatus, creating a foundation for carrying out new tasks. In parallel with organizing important meetings, the Bat Xat commune government prioritized handling administrative procedures for local people and businesses.

Tang Loong commune entered a new phase with many opportunities and challenges after the merger. On the first day, the commune held the first People's Council meeting to complete the apparatus, and immediately started to solve administrative procedures and implement the task of building new rural areas.
