The developer of the Digimap platform said it has completed and put into operation a 3D digital map model to serve the exhibition "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" taking place at the National Exhibition and Fair Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi ).
With an area of nearly 260,000 m2 divided into many thematic areas, the exhibition has the participation of 34 provinces and cities along with departments, ministries, branches and many businesses. In the large exhibition space, determining the location of areas, positioning and finding the way requires the support of technology for people to conveniently visit.

When accessing Digimap, users will see an overview map interface in 3D/2D form. The exhibition areas are divided by color, with each exhibition booth having introductory information and real images. In addition, the location of elevators, cafes, medical stations, toilets, and bus locations are also displayed in detail.
The highlight of the 3D map is the many raised details, creating intuitive operation, especially on the touch screen. From a distance, users can see the exhibition building with the image of "Than Kim Quy". When zoomed in, the exhibition areas are displayed in layers.
Visitors can look up directions between two locations, and the system quickly shows the shortest route. The platform has an English version to serve international visitors during this time.
Tran Hai Thanh (student, Hanoi) said that using digital maps is convenient, making it easy to look up the location of each area and directions to other locations, instead of having to hold a paper map or directions that are difficult to locate. However, to ensure network connection during peak times with many visitors, users need to flexibly use phone internet or free wifi connection provided by the exhibition.

With map digitization technology , the developer, Digitran, has 2 years of experience and provides it to many foreign markets such as Japan.
Mr. Tran Minh Long, Director of Digitran Company, shared: "Our biggest goal is to make the tour a memorable experience: Quick search, accurate orientation but at the same time inspired by modernity and creativity. Through that, we want to send the message: Vietnamese technology can accompany and contribute to honoring the national history with products of international stature".

The deployment time of this platform was also accelerated to just 1 month instead of the usual half year to serve visitors, with a team of Vietnamese technology engineers. (Photo: Ky Anh)
This unit also believes that this is a suitable model for many public spaces such as shopping malls, buildings, hospitals, airports, supporting traditional signage.
The exhibition of national achievements with the theme "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" takes place from August 28 to September 5, 2025.
The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) participated in the exhibition with a display booth of about 500 square meters, located in area H8, with many valuable artifacts displayed along with the virtual reality (VR) experience "Returning to the sacred moment", bringing the public "back" to Ba Dinh Square on September 2, 1945, witnessing President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence.
