The management board of Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area (Tay Ninh province) has issued a recommendation regarding attire and behavior for tourists visiting and pilgrims at this famous spiritual tourist destination in Southern Vietnam.

According to the management board, Mount Ba Den is a place where many people seek tranquility at Linh Son Thanh Mau and the surrounding spiritual and cultural complex. To ensure a fulfilling visit and pilgrimage, visitors are encouraged to choose polite, modest, and elegant attire.

The management board stated that attire such as shirts with sleeves, long pants, or skirts that cover the knees not only provides convenience when moving between attractions but also shows respect for local culture and spiritual spaces.

"We hope that visitors will join hands in preserving the beautiful and civilized image of the tourist area," said a representative of the management board.

Previously, on mountain climbing and travel groups, there were many conflicting opinions regarding the attire of tourists visiting Ba Den Mountain. Some people argued that wearing shorts or sportswear was appropriate due to the convenience of movement, especially in hot weather. However, many opinions stated that when entering temples, Buddha statues, or places of worship, tourists should wear modest and respectful clothing to show reverence.

Social media is also debating images of tourists standing, climbing, or swinging on the mountaintop to take check-in photos. These actions not only pose safety risks but also create an offensive image at a famous spiritual tourist destination.

Ba Den Mountain is an extinct volcano located primarily in Binh Minh Ward, Tay Ninh Province. It is the highest mountain in Southern Vietnam and is known as the "First Heavenly Mountain". According to 19th-century historical records, the mountain was considered a sacred mountain guarding Gia Dinh citadel, associated with the image of "a golden bell appearing and disappearing in the lake, and a dragon boat sailing on a moonlit night".

In recent years, the number of tourists visiting Ba Den Mountain and Tay Ninh has increased significantly. Tourists often combine visiting the mountain with nearby attractions such as Go Ken Pagoda or experiencing local cuisine. Many return multiple times a year following the custom of "asking for blessings at the beginning of the year and giving back blessings at the end of the year." Recently, the Management Board has repeatedly warned about incidents and falls among tourists due to carelessness and taking incorrect routes.

During the April 30th - May 1st holiday period, Tay Ninh welcomed approximately 210,000 visitors, a 61.5% increase compared to the same period last year. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 168.8 billion VND , a 60.7% increase. Accommodation occupancy rates reached approximately 70-75%.

Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area continues to attract a large number of visitors. Thanks to its modern cable car system, the spiritual complex on the mountaintop, and many experiential activities, it has become a highlight of Tay Ninh tourism during the holidays.
