Chinese media praises its relationship with Vietnam.

In recent days, Chinese media outlets have been reporting extensively on the visit of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping to Vietnam, highlighting the warm and cordial reception from the Vietnamese Party and State, as well as the friendly and cooperative atmosphere of "comradeship and brotherhood" between the two countries.

The April 15th issue of the People's Daily dedicated its entire front page, page 5, most of page 2, and part of page 3 to prominently reporting on the activities during General Secretary and President Xi Jinping's visit to Vietnam. This is a rare and exceptional feature for a newspaper with one of the world's largest circulations, serving as the official mouthpiece of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

On the front page, the newspaper prominently featured activities within the framework of the visit, accompanied by four striking photos: General Secretary and President Xi Jinping arriving at Noi Bai International Airport and delivering a message to the Party, State, and people of Vietnam; the official welcoming ceremony for General Secretary and President Xi Jinping at the Presidential Palace; the talks between General Secretary To Lam and General Secretary and President Xi Jinping; and General Secretary To Lam and General Secretary and President Xi Jinping witnessing the exhibition of cooperation documents signed between the two countries.

Page 2 features content and photos of meetings between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, and General Secretary and President Xi Jinping; an interview with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son titled "Creating a New Milestone in Vietnam-China Relations"; and notes on the assessments of various segments of the Vietnamese population regarding General Secretary and President Xi Jinping's article published in Nhan Dan Newspaper during his visit.

Notably, page 5 of the April 15th issue of the People's Daily is a special page titled "Passing on the Sino-Vietnamese Friendship to Future Generations," featuring many stories about the friendship between the people of the two countries, cultural exchange events, and practical and effective cooperation projects between China and Vietnam.

Xinhua News Agency's website provided a full account of the activities during the visit, and also featured many stories about cooperation and exchanges between the people of the two countries in the fields of music, culture and arts, education, and more.

Most notably, there is a special photo collection titled "Recording 75 Years of China-Vietnam Cultural Exchange," featuring many valuable photographs from the 1950s to the present day, documenting the exchange, cooperation, and interaction between the people of the two countries.

The China News website (chinanews.com.cn) published an article emphasizing that "The first destination of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping's first overseas trip of 2025 opens a new chapter in the story of 'both comrades and brothers' between China and Vietnam."

The article quotes international relations experts as saying that the visit clearly demonstrates China's friendly policy towards Vietnam, affirming that Vietnam is a priority in China's neighborly diplomacy . Taking place at the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the visit is of great significance, building on the past, looking towards the future, contributing to strengthening political trust, and providing strong impetus for cooperation in various fields.

According to Professor Xu Liping of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the visit of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping, in his dual capacity as leader of the Party and the State, is a way to promote both political-party diplomacy and state diplomacy, contributing to consolidating traditional friendship and expanding the socialist cause.

In recent years, cooperation between the two countries in infrastructure connectivity, trade and investment, tourism, etc., has continuously deepened and expanded into emerging fields such as the digital economy and green development, with many bright spots of practical cooperation. These are areas of cooperation that will be elevated through this visit.

According to Ms. Do Lan from the China Institute of International Studies, the top leaders of the two Parties and two States, with their strategic guidance and leadership roles, will provide the most important political guarantee and the greatest advantage for the development of China-Vietnam relations.

The visit will contribute to strengthening political trust, clearly indicating a stable direction for the development of bilateral relations, and continuously deepening and strengthening the strategically significant building of the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future.
