The press – a bridge between elected bodies and voters.
Throughout the nation's history, the National Assembly and People's Councils have always been symbols of the people's will and aspirations; they are the highest organs of state power, where the wisdom and aspirations for building a democratic, just, and civilized country are crystallized.
Accompanying this journey, the press plays the role of a "bridge," truthfully reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of voters; and at the same time, disseminating important decisions of the National Assembly and People's Councils to every citizen.

The exhibition "Journalism with the National Assembly, People's Councils and the Dien Hong Legacy," themed "80 Years of the Vietnamese National Assembly," was organized by the National Assembly Office in collaboration with the Hanoi People's Council. The exhibition consists of three parts: The National Assembly and People's Councils through the lens of journalism ; the National Journalism Award on the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Award); and activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026). The Dien Hong Moment is also featured.
In Part 1, through the photographs, it is affirmed that the press plays a particularly important role in the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils. The press promptly reflects the process of fulfilling the functions and tasks of elected bodies; at the same time, it disseminates the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State into daily life. With its essential information function, the press truthfully conveys the thoughts and feelings of the people to the National Assembly forum, helping state power organs improve policies and enhance the quality of supervision.
Images from newspaper articles and news reports have become a "stream of memories" about the National Assembly sessions and its legislative and supervisory activities, such as: the First National Assembly discussing and adopting the first Constitution of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam; to historical decisions such as the Resolution on signing the Paris Agreement at the Fourth National Assembly; the Sixth National Assembly of unified Vietnam…
The exhibition also quotes the speech of General Secretary To Lam at the ceremony commemorating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025); the speech of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man at the meeting with leaders of press agencies on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day… affirming the role, position, and mission of revolutionary journalism.

With the aim of further enhancing the dissemination of information about the National Assembly and People's Councils, and contributing to promoting the implementation of Party resolutions, the National Journalism Award on the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Award) is organized annually, based on Conclusion No. 1295-KL/DDQH15 dated December 23, 2022, of the Party Caucus of the National Assembly.
The images in Part 2 of the Exhibition showcase the organization, launch, and selection of entries for the Fourth Dien Hong Award; the winning works of the Dien Hong Award; and images of the solemn atmosphere of the award ceremonies in previous years…
Milestones commemorating the 80th anniversary of the first General Election.
The exhibition "Journalism with the National Assembly, People's Councils and the Dien Hong Legacy" is also linked to the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026). This is an opportunity for the entire Party, people, and army to review the history of its formation and development; and affirm the great achievements that our National Assembly has attained over the past 80 years.

Many photos are featured in Part 3 of the Exhibition - Activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) and the Dien Hong Moment. These include images from programs such as: General Secretary To Lam meeting with generations of National Assembly delegates to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, looking forward to the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attending and speaking at the national scientific conference "The Vietnamese National Assembly - 80 Years of Formation and Development "; and the art program "The Glory of the Vietnamese National Assembly "...
The exhibition also features a collection of photographs capturing memorable moments of Party and State leaders and National Assembly delegates during National Assembly sessions. These are simple, intimate, yet meaningful images that resonate widely in society, portraying a "National Assembly that is always innovating and acting decisively for the benefit of the people."
Through these valuable images and documents, the exhibition once again affirms that journalism has always been a reliable companion, a "bridge" connecting the Party's will with the people's aspirations, contributing alongside the National Assembly and People's Councils to creating historical milestones on the nation's journey of renewal and development.
