Last virtual filter starts at 9am

According to plan, from 9-11am, the units will begin the 10th virtual filtering process.

At 12:30, the system will return the results of processing the 10th wish and the schools will download this data.

Before 5:00 p.m., educational institutions will enter the admission scores and admission results into the system. Schools will announce the first round of admission results according to the general schedule.

The Ministry of Education and Training recommends that educational institutions not announce admission scores before the final virtual filtering on the system.

Thus, after 12:30, schools have had the results of the first round of admission scores.

This is the latest plan after the announcement of the benchmark scores was postponed for 2 days due to the Ministry of Education and Training adjusting the virtual filtering plan.

In 2025, the number of candidates and registered wishes both increased sharply. Nationwide, there were more than 7.6 million registered wishes, accounting for more than 73% of the total number of candidates. On average, each candidate selected nearly 9 wishes.

The number of candidates registering for admission also skyrocketed by more than 115,000 compared to 2024, partly due to vocational colleges participating in the common admission system.

The benchmark score is more difficult to predict than previous years, which is the general opinion of many universities in this year's virtual filtering process due to major changes in organization and implementation methods.

The virtual filtering system is sometimes slow, congested, and the time to carry out the procedures is longer than planned. The filtering process appears to have a "virtual overlapping virtual" situation because this year, many admission methods and admission combinations are combined into the same system.

This forced the Ministry of Education and Training to increase the virtual filtering from 6 times to 10 times, and the virtual filtering groups in the South and North also increased accordingly.

Unexpected increase and decrease

Many majors suddenly saw an unexpected increase in scores, surprising even those who have worked in admissions for a long time.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry said that about 50% of the admission codes for the school have increased their benchmark scores compared to last year. This is surprising because the school previously predicted that the benchmark scores would decrease.

Some industries recorded significant increases such as: Industries in the technology - engineering group such as mechatronics, electricity - electronics, automation are expected to increase by 2 points, marketing is expected to increase by 1.5 points, pharmacy is expected to increase slightly by 0.5 points...

In general, with the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the expected standard score for many majors is between 24-25 points, the highest is nearly 26.5 points (30-point scale).

Similarly, the benchmark score of the University of Industry and Trade is at 17-24.5 points (on a scale of 30). The majors with the highest benchmark scores are marketing, international business, and logistics at the same level as last year, around 24.5 points.

Notably, industries with a low benchmark score of around 20 points in 2024 are showing signs of "heating up" by increasing to around 21.5-22 points. Some industries that have increased include: Electronics, automation, mechatronics, data science , information security, etc.

Hung Vuong University also has majors that have increased sharply from 3 to the highest level of 5 points compared to 2024 such as psychology 20 points, law, economic law with 18 points.

Compared to the floor score announced by 12 schools, the major with the highest standard score 8 points higher than the floor score is psychology.

Vietnam Aviation Academy said the benchmark score for the high school graduation exam is expected to be at least 18 points and at most 27 points.

In particular, the airport management major of the construction engineering technology industry has seen a sudden increase, from 16 points last year to about 21 points this year, an increase of 5 points. Most other majors have increased their scores compared to last year.

A series of majors at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education have increased their admission scores. English teaching is expected to continue to lead in admission scores. Engineering and technology majors also have high admission scores, with two prominent majors being semiconductors and automation.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology said that the expected benchmark score for some majors could be as high as 29. Of which, 2 majors with predicted benchmark scores of 29 and above 29 points (on a scale of 30/30) are computer engineering, data science and artificial intelligence.

Besides, there are also industries and educational institutions that recorded a decrease in scores.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Education said that this year, the benchmark scores for most majors have fluctuated, with some majors seeing their benchmark scores increase or decrease.

Of which, the two majors of history pedagogy and literature pedagogy with the highest benchmark score last year of 28.6 points continue to appear in the top of high benchmark scores this year. In addition, there are also "new stars" in benchmark scores.

Nha Trang University has some majors that have decreased by up to 3 points.

Many standard scoreboards of military and medical majors have also appeared on social networks, but many units have denied the above information, saying that the school has not announced the standard scores.

After 9 virtual filtering rounds nationwide, the benchmark scores for admission to basic universities have been determined. However, with the high virtual rate and many different changes, many officials in charge of virtual filtering said that they are "not really confident" with the results released this year.

Many schools "make sure" they call just enough candidates, if there is not enough, they will consider additional recruitment and do not dare to call more.

The new point of 2025 is that universities will convert benchmark scores or admission scores. Candidates need to look up the score conversion to get accurate results. Detailed lookup link is HERE.
